N64 Expansion Pak Secrets & Mysteries! | Punching Weight [SSFF]

Hello Supporters!!

Got a fresh new video for ya, and it's definitely my favorite one we've done in a while!

It was supposed to be a quick project and it ended up being out biggest video since the Xbox 360 Red Ring of Death! And it might be our biggest episode of Punching Weight? I was limited to only the games that we had but I don't think this video could've been much longer. I dug pretty deep, I'm confident most of the hottest scoops are present in this video

The idea for this video came about when Matt McMuscles and I were brainstorming Punching Weight ideas. I gotta give him credit for thinking this one up, and as a token of appreciation, I ask him to do a short cameo. Also when I found out he had a copy of Xena Warrior Princes, I KNEW we had gold on our hands! He's also a Turok super fan, so I maybe Turok fans get a kick out of Matt takin' me down a peg.

May and April we're important and productive months for the channel, unfortunately not really on the video production side. But we've made strides in changing how we produce our videos and with any luck we'll be on a more consistent pace very soon. With that being said, we have to give a big shout out to Alex Cater from S House Studios for helping with the edit on this one. We'll have another video for you later this week (and then hopefully I'll finally have time to play that Vintage-Castlevania styled Bloodstained), and then it's E3 prediction time!!

For now, enjoy the new video!

That's super interesting! Genuinely did not know that. Maybe helps explain why the Japanese version is called the Terminator Pak! -gk

Oh no!! Well hopefully you have a butter knife you can use instead ;D

Stop Skeletons From Fighting

Yes actually! It was just to highlight that PS3 vs PS4 and 360 vs 1 are truncated versions of the nemesis system compared to the later gen versions. Might not have worded it in the best way in retrospect! -gk

Great video! Legit never knew that about DK64.

The Jumper Pack was *essentially* empty. It was a Rambus Terminator. They were also required on Pentium 4 desktops with Rambus (in the brief time before Intel switched Pentium 4 to DDR). Rambus Terminators were required to be fitted into every slot not otherwise containing a Rambus module, as they completed the signal loop. Otherwise you would have signal reflection and things would not work properly. SCSI worked the same way--if you had a daisychain device but weren't chaining another device through, you had to terminate the daisychain port with a SCSI Terminator, for essentially the same reasons.

Hey Derek, when you said "PS3/360 versions of shadow or mordor" you showed the ps4 box instead of the xbox 360 box. did you mean to do that?

I lost my Official Nintendo Plastic Thingy! I knew you were gonna show it and remind me of my heartbreak. D:
