Our Halloween '17 Plan - Maybe You Can Help!

And with that out of the way,

It's the most wonderful time of the year!!

It's October! It's Halloween! It's always a big time for the channel and we've got a lot of stuff planned.

Dusk was our first Halloween 17 video. But that was a smaller video. This year's big video will be a Re:Certified Classic on Silent Hill 2! It is the first time the channel has ever covered the series despite being me personally being a huge fan of the series from the very beginning. Silent Hill 2 is uniformly considered the best in the franchise, that seems like a good place to start, though the video will briefly cover the making of 1, 3, and 4.

We've already begun researching the making of Silent Hill 2 but if you know of any cool interviews or articles, please share them with us! We've never asked for help researching but we so often get insightful comments from people. If you've got some cool facts, post em below!

Unfortunately, this is going to be an unusual Halloween season this year. Dusk and Silent Hill 2 will be the only "real" Halloween video this year due to other games coming out around this time. The new Wolfenstein comes out this month, so we'll have a Punching Weight for Wolfenstein 3D ports. 

And A Hat In Time is dropping in a few days and we've been planning on covering that for a while. We got a review copy this weekend and I've played it a bit. There's definitely some stuff worth talking about, especially in relation to Yooka-Laylee.

Evil Within 2 comes out in a few weeks, and while this is something we'd definitely like to cover, we've never played the first one (scooped it up at a Black Friday sale a few years ago tho). I think doing a video reviewing both would be great but we just wont have time to play through Part 1 and then Part 2 and then make a video about them. So we'll be doing Evil Within in November and look forward to some early thought in this week's Media Consumption Blog.

I've also had a Manhunt essay rattling around in the back of my head for a few years. It's a trashy game, but it's good trash and that's rare in video games. We think that'll be a fine fit for November too.
