Hi Derek, I have been watching your vids for the past 5 years and I just gotta say, your videos are incredible. Love the new look and the new content you are producing nowadays. As for your update, I wanna vote for the original Resident Evil, the remake on the GC (re-release on PS3/4 will be ok). Absolutely love that game and I want to hear your take on the game. As for requests for reviews in the future, I'm a big Gamecube collector myself (trying to get every game released on the console, including international games released) so I would like to see more Gamecube reviews as I think most of the games on the console are underrated. Games include F-Zero GX, Fire Emblem Path Of Radiance, Resident Evil Zero & Baten Kaitos. Sorry to hear about your friend passing. Also lastly, have to disagree with you on Bucky O'Hare. Played it last year and still would put it in my top 10 NES games list (I have PAL games, we weren't spoiled with choice like you lot across the pond). Keep up the good work and sorry this message is so long :)

what do you mean "editorial-based videos"? like a video about console roguelikes as apposed to a review of cave noire? i've thought about doing essay-style videos instead of just reviews but reviews are where i feel the most qualified. whenever i think about an essay i realize i'd have to do a ton of research by playing a bunch of games and i just don't have the time

the original silent hill? maybe but i chose silent hill 2 because it's the most revered entry in the series. as for dino crisis 3, i'll need to get my hands on an original xbox. i'm not confirming part 3 just yet.

i still have a month to figure this out but i don't have the means to really play part 3 or stalker. i don't have an original xbox (tho they're not hard to find) and dino stalker is a light gun game and i don't have a tube tv to play it on. i just can't confirm those two games right now but i'll try to make it work

the main re:cert video would banjo vs mario 64 but it would be fun to look at the other 3 rare platformers conker's has some really neat ideas, trying to turn the collect-a-thon platformer on its head, but it didn't amount to much (though it's been a really long time). and i just never thought the game was that funny. again, it's been a while, but just being crass doesn't excuse the requirement of being clever, especially when you sell yourself as a comedy. and i dunno, conker getting over a hangover, a flower with big tits, a singing poop monster felled by rolls of toilet paper is just low-hanging fruit. BUT that multiplayer was fucking incredible! back in high school, we lost almost a whole summer to the beach game.

A weird request: If you're (later on) planning for a "Re:Certified Classic" video about Banjo-Kazooie, a interesting angle would be to go outside just talking about BK, but all the four Rare N64 platformers from that era. (That being both Banjo games, DK64 and Conker) I think the context of all four games would make for more interesting comparision. If I recall correctly you have SOME OPINIONS about Conker.

Hey Derek loved the vlog and I appreciate the updates, I think you should go for RE4 it's the most recent out of your choices but I feel like I'm seeing this weird revisionist mind-set that RE4 isn't "good" anymore and after re-playing it last Winter that is some grad-A BS.

I feel like Resident Evil is getting a lot of hype lately with the RE2 remake announced, so covering RE1 or RE4 might be really great for viewership. That point aside, I'd love to hear how you feel about Silent Hill 2 as a Re:Certified Classic! I feel like the story and mood definitely still holds up, but I'm not too sure on the gameplay. Love to hear your opinion!
