Gut Check: Contra Shattered Soldier

I going to spend today working on research and a rough draft but I'd love to hear your thoughts. Also, Contra III The Alien Wars is the best Contra game.

2015-08-15 04:38:55 +0000 UTCokokok, i need to play hard corps again because i'm shocked you all are praising it so damn much. i owned both as a kid and it was a no-brainer to me that contra 3 was the better and best contra game. the angle i'm working on with shattered soldier is that it's a great action game but maybe not a great contra game and definitely not the "return to form" it was promoted as.

2015-08-07 20:21:22 +0000 UTCthe characters and ending are neat, i just think it controls terribly and moves too fast. it just never felt right to me. and to be fair, the final boss of contra 3 reused contra 1 and super c's final bosses before having its own final boss.

2015-08-07 20:14:38 +0000 UTCSorry Derek, I'd prefer to play Hard Corps over 3. 6 endings, great graphics/music, multiple characters, everyone having unique weapons. Contra 3 was essentially the nes versions with updated graphics. Even the final boss was reused from Super C

I agree with Aaron and Daniel, Contra III is a gem on the Super Nintendo albeit I also think Hard Corps is superior. Also I find its difficulty more manageable than Contra III. Anyways good to see that you are going to review Shattered Soldier, I never played that one I am curious to see how it is
2015-08-05 23:48:37 +0000 UTCnever liked hard corps (crazy because it's by the same guy who also did Rocket Knight Adventures), something about it moved too fast. and you're CRAZY! the overhead levels in contra 3 were incredible!
