Weekly update #4251 something came up...
Added 2023-12-17 15:09:54 +0000 UTCHi. The truth is that I don't know if I will be able to finish the game before Xmas. I will have this whole week to work on it, but there's 50-50 chances I won't make it. The thing is that I got delayed for 3 days because I found something that completely changed the most important scenes. I wanted to add voices for the spanking scenes with Mommy Nadya and Ms. Schumann, and I was trying with all the websites for text to speech. They were nice, but nothing extraordinary. I can say I know most of them and almost all the voices around. Not 100% pleased by the result, I made a browse at google, hoping there would be a new site with emotion voices... and I found it. A new one, but this one not with paid actors who recorded voices, but one that had voices generated by AI. The result was very very close to a real actor, a bit difficult to control as the AI puts the emotion accordingly to what the text says. I'm afraid all those text to speech sites will go broke soon, just as voice actors (sadly for them). Anyway, I not only added voices to the spankings, but to all scenes with Mommy Nadya. Thanks to it, the game's ambience and fear of being a boy with a very strict stepmom feels much closer to reality.
Today I'll finish the library quests. Tomorrow it will be the last 2 spanking ladies and with it, all scenes will be done, including the grand finale, which I finished on Thursday. Then I'll have 4 full days to integrate these new scenes and make a full review, which might not be enough. It's likely that the release will be pushed to New Year, as your Three Kings special gift.
Anyway, the game is closer than ever, and soon you'll meet these two extraordinary, fearful ladies.

2023-12-17 18:20:00 +0000 UTCThanks for your comment. I'm glad that AI takes down some sites, in particular, the abusive ones. There are some that ask for a very expensive membership (some even around $70) to get access to the premium voices with emotions, and others that offer an "amazing" lifetime membership, but don't warn you you need to pay for an extra monthly fee to get the best voices. Others I wouldn't mind if they go broke are the ones that added a censorship where any sentence with "spanking" was blocked, previous a threat that your account would be blocked because you were breaking the service terms. The AI I use for writing was first too strict in censorship, but then they realized it was stupid for any serious writer. For example, the violence censorship was too hard that it was impossible to write a violent scene as the fight between Danny and Johnny in Karate Kid. Fortunately, they changed it and now they only censor anything sexual with minors involved or true violent speech, which is completely understandable. AI is going better and I'm thankful. My work improved a lot thanks to it.

2023-12-17 16:47:47 +0000 UTCThanks perfectly understandable! It's an incredible amount of work. I hope that you're wrong about text-to-speech sites going out of business. (I personally don't use them, and some are quite pricey.) I think you hit on the main complaint about AI-generated voices: they still sound too unemotional. Who knows what will happen, though? AI just seems to be getting better and better. Thanks for all the effort you're putting into this game. I'm sure it will be a masterpiece when completed, so no need to rush. Take some time to enjoy the holidays.
