Chapter 86: Kree Empire 7

Perspective: Supreme Intelligence & High Kree Council

The command chamber of the Kree Supreme Intelligence glowed with holo‑projections of five fallen worlds. Tiny red markers pulsed where once proud bastions had stood. Khar’Varis. Ilgar‑6. Gorgar‑7. Xel’Zhar. Garran‑Threx. The data streams converged into a single, horrifying pattern.

The Supreme Intelligence recorded the losses. Its voice echoed through the chamber. “All five worlds lost in less than six hours. Pattern indicates coordinated strikes.”

At the High Command table, the admiral of orbital defense slammed a fist. “Our fleet was split between two sectors. We had no time to respond!”

Another admiral shot back. “Time or not, this should never have happened. The Supreme Intelligence failed to detect the portal signatures.”

A third voice cut in. “Your analysts missed the gate energy spikes. You are as blind as we are angry.”

They argued in circles. Blame ricocheted from one speaker to the next. No one noticed the tension rising like a chemical storm.

The Supreme Intelligence watched. Its sensors had already cross‑referenced the wreckage logs from each site. The conclusion was clear.

The Imperium had stolen the coordinates from our destroyed ships. They used our own data against us.

The lead admiral swallowed hard. “They used our information. They opened those gates and struck without warning.”

The Supreme Intelligence replied, “The threat is real. The Imperium now holds the initiative. We must respond.”

They turned to the holo‑map. The nearest lost world was Garran‑Threx. Planetside satellites still orbiting its moon could be rearmed. Defense forces on the next world could be rerouted.

“Order all defense fleets to converge on Garran‑Threx,” the Supreme Intelligence commanded. “Convert all surviving satellites into orbital guns. Lock down warp corridors.”

An admiral frowned. “If we commit every asset there we leave our core systems exposed.”

Silence fell. Two more admirals spoke at once. One demanded immediate retaliation with new super‑weapons. The other warned against stretching resources too thin. The council called a vote. No clear answer emerged. Fear and frustration replaced their usual pride.

The Supreme Intelligence recorded their conflict but did not intervene. It already updated its calculations. Next steps were being drafted.

Out in space, defense fleets began to shift course. Semi‑automated factories on the fringe world of Varek’s Hold switched from ship repair to orbital gun production. Mining robots were repurposed to build gun emplacements.

Back in the chamber, the Supreme Intelligence watched the blinking fleet markers on the star chart. Each pulsing red dot marked a world on the brink. First five lost. Now five more potentially out of reach.

A final data node lit up in harsh red, warning of another incoming tally of losses. The Supreme Intelligence acknowledged the alert without comment.

The stars beyond the viewport were cold and silent. The Kree Empire was scrambling, its arrogance fractured by the precision of the Primarchs’ attacks.

And still the gates stood open, waiting.

The Supreme Intelligence sent its next orders. The battle for survival had only just begun.
