Manufacturing - a unique and frustrating experience

I thought that from my previous experience, manufacturing would get easier - but making the new mugs has been a bumpy road.

So far, the new samples don't look very good. There are a lot of issues following the design and getting the color right, so we've had to go through several revisions already.

I'm now testing out more manufacturers, but it's starting to get really expensive ordering samples and I'm also hyper aware of how long things are taking. My goal was to get these for xmas, but it might be the same case as last year where the shipment arrived a few weeks too late.

This is a timeline I made in the past, but I feel like each step takes at least one month longer than estimated here. For perspective, the guinea pig mugs I made took about 1 whole year from start to arrival.

Fingers crossed that at least one of the new mug designs works out, but I'm not too hopeful with the way things are going right now 😅
