Questions about Instagram? Art? Business?

It's really challenging posting that much. These days, I post a lot less actually, maybe 2-4 times a week? I think generally posting more just helps you grow faster, but you'll still see growth regardless :)

I see! Thank you for the input! I'm still very new to the concept of "self branding" So I still don't quite know what my "niche" would be just yet but I think 3-5 a week is much more reasonable then daily posting especially as an artist!

Hey! So at the beginning of the year, I posted every single day for about three months. When I was doing that, I actually did see exponential growth, but it was really tiring keeping up that momentum. I've since then swapped to aiming to post 3-5 times a week, and now it's just been a steady incline but not exponential. I know it's hard to not want to box yourself into one kind of drawing/style, but I do think that when you're creating a BRAND that you need to be consistent and stick to it. But just because you have a brand, doesn't mean you can't do other art styles too!

Hi Birdie! Thanks again for the instagram video its interesting to think about how to best optimize! I just started recently using it again after being dead online for basically 2 years (never went past 120ish followers) and only get like maybe 1-5 new followers a month and I'm curious since you mentioned the incline is more like a steady line then exponential, how long and how consistent of the material do you have to be do you think? I think part of it for me is that I don't really want to box myself into doing just one kind of drawing i.e. dogs or frogs or what have you. But I'm wondering if you have to be very consistent to build up that audience? I'm thinking of opening up a little etsy shop for small prints, mini zines etc. since I love making comics but i'm not sure if my lack of consistency would make it worth it. What do you think?
