The lab began running some tests on their most recent inventions. Lex was asked by one of his new bosses to have a private meeting of their office. He arrived and was ready for the mysterious meeting as it began with his new chief presenting the new device able to supposedly enhance the user’s hearing. Lex was skeptical after watching the strange design but was asked to try it on after offering a so called raise. He got the device on his head and after a few seconds he tried to take the band off of his head since it did not work as expected but quickly stopped after a shock ran through his skull, reaching his brain, inhibiting neural activity as a normal human brain would have, rapidly shrinking his intellect, and grey matter, into a brain similar to a canine.

Lex’s speech became from sophisticated to simple babbles and barks, resembling noises of a docile puppy to his new owner. He now serves as his new puppy servant and not as the scientist of Task Force X, now as an obedient pup for his chief.
