Riverhills Map

I start the week with one of my campaign maps, the Riverhills and the ruins of Northern Dwalindor.
The Riverhills is one of the big hill-dwarven kingdoms of the continent of Yrélia. Formally, it's a protactorate of Amaranthin, another dwarven kingdom located to the north, in the Splintered Mountains. The Riverhills' task is to sell the dwarven goods that are coming from Amaranthin, so it's controlled by dwarven (and a few human) merchant princes who oversee their own provinces. When the king of Amaranthin dies, there is a short period when the Riverhills left unchecked and this is the time when the merchant princes can play their poltical games openly against each other - which often includes war as well.
Dwalindor was an elven empire that was destroyed in the Crown War, when elves waged blood war against each other. One of the major figures of the war was Urmenor Ygg'Drassarn, who unleashed a spell that originated before the Exaltation, from a time when magic was more powerful. The incantation teared the sky open and killed millions in a few minutes. This cataclysmic event became knows as the Starfall - as it's result, Dwalindor was wiped out, and the Gweskel Peninsula was shattered into islands.
