For November, our map theme is going to be the Dwarven Mines. While the Planar Ruins and Alpine Mountains got a lot of attention, he mines clearly won out with 36% votes. I can already hear their chanting music in the background. I foresee a huge, multi-map mine and cavern set. Included will be the dwarven ore processing center and their quarters. There should be carved mines with tracks along with rough hewn caverns with ore and gems. And some extra, natural caverns of various sizes, for creatures. What else should does everyone want to see included? Let me know in the comments below, it helps with the details.
Thanks again, I can wait to get started on the mines (its been a little while since I've done some underground maps)!

Thats some great inspiration. So true too, usually only see the basic dwarven scenes. I can definitely include a mini dwaven settlement with those interesting places. That will really spice it up. Good looking out AN7

2023-10-06 02:03:49 +0000 UTCThe poll was specifically for mines, so this is probably beyond the scope but one thing that I feel like when it comes to Dwarven settlements we often see the king’s throne room and vault, but extremely little of the other places of rulership and administration. Dwarves are social beings, with strong ties to one another traditionally. Would you not expect a big room with a huge stone table and 5 or 8 chairs around it where the advisors gather to talk with the king? A set of cells for important prisoners waiting to be brought before the king? A waiting room for people still free, but also waiting to speak? I suppose these are thoughts not for a mine, maybe a future map though.
