August Processpack: Shiro
Added 2017-08-31 07:32:36 +0000 UTCA process .gif of the August Voltron illustration! I'm actually so happy with how this turned out and I learned a few tricks along the way too! Some hot tips I used for this pic:
Colour picking from a screenshot will usually give you very ambient colours.
- To correct this I used a background colour (a dark teal) and created a fill layer set to difference layer.
- followed up with a warm overlay to bring out the flesh tones in Shiro
Painting rocks is a pretty simple process!
- Using a wide set brush I created the base planes
- using dark and light strokes over top of these planes gave depth
