Now I understand why everyone in the comments keep supporting Ah-Jin or try to understand her. At least we know she did not kill the grandma. The thing Ah-jin was talking about in the ending is that all her life people have let her down, disappointed her. So she tries not to get her hopes up, or think that there is still humanity in this world. Or let people care for her, showing kindness only to turn around and betray her. But I can see she definitely cared for the grandma. The grandma is always kind to her, even when she found out. She still forgave her and wanted to help, saying to keep it a secret. She tried to save her cause she realised that there is one good person in her life. It goes back to what her ex boss said. Instead of him getting revenge, he just pities her and wishes her luck. Because even he realised that if she had good adult figures in her life growing up, maybe she would have turned out differently. And Ah-jin realised that too and was able to let her guard down around the grandma. But did she have to do all that to In-gang 😒. He is already going through so much. Lost both his parents, his grandma who practically raised him and then his guilt from his past. His death really broke me, had me crying 😭 Through it all I just felt sorry for the younger brother, because In-gang was his only family left. I can see that maybe at one point she wanted to change because of the grandma but I still don’t like her. All she does is go around hurting, manipulating and controlling others to get her way. And whether she is at fault or not people keep dying around her. She is a sociopath, out of control and I need the others from her past to team up and take her down. I also need Junseo and Jaeoh to wake the hell up

2026-02-02 10:58:29 +0000 UTCit's kinda disappointing to be honest to see that you guys immediately assumed she killed the grandma and went with that assumption the whole episode. remember when she let her guard down for the first time and even told the grandma her doorcode? would she even do that to someone she didn't care about and was manipulative toward? you should read the conversation that she had with the grandma again when she confessed everything. it's true that she approached them with bad intentions but after having received all the love from them, she actually cared for them too. but because she's a sociopath, she couldn't even know that she was capable of doing so. a love that she couldn't even know about and it was too late for her to acknowledge it.

2026-02-01 21:48:23 +0000 UTCIt’s sad that without the CCTV evidence even Junseo wont have believed Ahjin did not kill the grandma meanwhile Jaeoh fully believed in Ahjin. It is interesting to see their dynamics

2026-02-01 21:39:03 +0000 UTCI am so excited about the new character introduction. It will be much more interesting in the coming episodes. This drama is so interesting

2026-02-01 21:01:36 +0000 UTCI see why you guys would hate Kim Jaeoh as a simp. But if you’re in his shoes, he killed his own father. His own brother won’t see him because he sees him as his father’s murderer. His aunt told him not to visit them anymore. The only family/bond he has is Ahjin. Running errands for her is what keeps his mental peace as he feels useful. Most of these characters including Ahjin don’t have a stable mindset that’s why it’s harder for a lot of people to relate with them.

2026-02-01 20:29:28 +0000 UTCShe said she scared when grandma showed kindness to her because she views people kindness as only fake and when she started to care for grandma, that hope was gone. Grandma dead killed her last hope of humanity

2026-02-01 19:55:27 +0000 UTCYou guys seem to forget she's a sociopath. You can't expect her to behave how a normal person would, because sociopaths lack sympathy and guilt. They also are likely to manipulate people and have a victim mentality, don't believe in societal norms and don't want to follow the rules,... So you don't really need to ask yourself "Why is she like this or what's wrong with her?". Because the thing is, lots of things were wrong already since the day she was born. It's interesting that you thought she murdered the grandma right away, I don't support the things she did but I think it's clear that she wouldn't actually kill someone who cares for her.

2026-02-01 17:23:08 +0000 UTCI really think that when she says that she suddenly became interested in ingang and was looking for his grandmother's approval, she's telling the truth. Because his grandmother was the first adult who really cared about her and showed her a motherly love that he'd never experienced before. Even though it was almost a year ago, it took her so long to break up the relationship. Considering how agenda-driven she is, I think she really changed her mind about ingang. If grandma hadn't died, he'd honestly feel I think they would have continued their relationship, gradually getting better and maybe even becoming a good person. In the entire series, we didn't see her cry for anyone, but when she's behind the operating room door and there's no one to play a role for him, she cries and asks God to save her, and when God doesn't save her, he falls apart. That scene where grandma realizes her manipulations and Aajin cries is very important, because she thinks she lost grandma's affection, it's been like this all her life: adults being kind one moment, annoying the next. She never had unconditional love, but this time, not only is she not rejected, but she is only scolded, then she forgives her and hugs her, the surprise on she's face is clear, she himself expected that happiness would be short-lived, she even offered to break up with ingang, but in the end she grabbed grandma's arms again, when grandma asked "You won't do this again, right?" She nodded hesitantly… At that moment, it was clear that she really thought she would change, because even after her grandmother realized she's manipulations, she still believed in her goodness. Another very important point: When she's ex-stepmother comes to apologize, you see for a moment that Ajin has been waiting for this moment her whole life, for a moment she gets hope, she believes that the apology is real, but it is not, and when Junsu's mother drops her mask and shows her true intentions, Ajin seems to break inside for a moment, again the same words: "In hell, hope is not something to hold on to." She realizes again that every time she had hope, she only got more pain. Many people confuse sociopathy with psychopathy, which is why Ajin is misunderstood, she is not inherently evil, she's traumas made her this way. Being a sociopath means being more self-centered and having difficulty empathizing, just as we are shocked by the way she solves problems, she's himself doesn't fully understand the consequences of her actions because she doesn't understand other people's mindsets, which is why she couldn't predict the death of inkgang. Overall, the series is great at showing gray characters, no one is completely black or white, everyone is full of flaws and that's what makes the series interesting. I don't believe that Ajin's feelings towards inkgang and his grandmother were unreal at all, I'm just looking at it from a different angle, Ajin doesn't understand empathy like everyone else, it's just the way she's brain works, and she didn't foresee the outcome of ingkgang at all, she's been through a lot of terrible things and is still standing, so she didn't think it would get to that point after his grandmother's death and her bad treatment of ingang in kang and his grandmother was the last glimmer of hope to AJin for have a good and normal life💔That's why she says "In hell, hope is something you shouldn't hold on to" because in her mind, God took away the only good thing in her life, she knew her happiness wouldn't last, just when she was getting better, when someone understood her and saw a bit of good in her, everything fell apart. She really thinks her grandmother's death is her fault, for the first time in her life she feels real guilt, this feeling is so foreign to her that she doesn't know how to deal with it, so she transfers it to ingang, instead of facing it, she mistreats it, pushes it away Aaj, she tries to make him hate her, because she hates hermself and because she thinks "he lost his grandmother because of her", she believes that the best thing to do is to distance hermself from him and become a bad person in his eyes, so that she doesn't make his life worse again.

2026-02-01 14:06:16 +0000 UTCto continue, i really liked where lenny was going with that conversation, bc yes even if ahjin loves someone, if u are expecting her to act like a proper loving caring person, you are so wrong. at the end of the day, she's still a sociopath, not a normally functioning human being. so the way she shows love or care is fundamentally different. from her perspective, leaving in gang was her way of caring for him, letting him live his own life, because staying in it would only hurt him more, she already saw what happened the moment she started to care for a person and im saying this while fully acknowledging that she also wanted the role and to climb to the top, and why not?? that is her life goal after all ! but in gang's life had started to resolve entirely around ahjin and their relationship, and that couldn't continue. a person needs something of their own, in this case in gang needed to save his career so ahjin pushed him away bc she genuinely believed that was the best for both of them. okay thanks for coming to my ted talk 😩

2026-02-01 13:40:35 +0000 UTCqueen is absolutely on the right track and i agree, so let me try to put it into words better, did y'all hear what ahjin said to junseo's mom at the end of the episode!? that kindness scares her, it gives her hope, but hope doesn't exist in hell. she finally found a loving adult in the grandma and was starting to accept things, to let her guard down, and then the grandma died five mins later like seriously!??? for maybe the first time in her life, she was about to give life a chance, to believe in something, to have some hope and that happened... it felt like life itself reminding her of her reality, that she's not allowed to be happy, not allowed to live a normal life. how dare she even hope? everything crashes down after that, that's why she decides she can't stay with in gang bc yes she did start to feel a sense of comfort and a sense belonging in that family even if it was just a little bit...

2026-02-01 13:35:21 +0000 UTCPls Don’t watch from only one perspective like oh she is psycho when she is not and pls think from other perspective too. I am 100%sure if the grandma didn’t die, ah Jin will be a normal girl and also will not break up with in gang. She was becoming to go down the correct path. Did u guys not read she said” I lost a tiny bit of hope in humanity “ after grandma died
