A First Look: Sexy Quest

Hey everyone!

Now that Town of Passion is old news (just kidding, please don't forget about ToP T_T) it is time to start talking and focusing more on Sexy Quest!  The new game that will start to occupy this page!

== What to Expect ==

In a lot of ways, Sexy Quest is going to be like Town of Passion which is why I decided to have it share Patreon pages.  The characters, story, etc are intertwined with the world of ToP but now there will be the added inclusion of JRPG battles!

== Updated Visuals ==

You probably noticed that the characters are sporting a new look this time around.  I wanted to go for taller sprites to allow for more visual clarity with the designs.  I'm really happy with how they're turning out.

In addition, this is big news for sprite scenes.  Like ToP, I do plan on NSFW animations for the sprites to return.  The main difference now is that with taller sprites, the details of what's happening in these sprite scenes is must more noticeable.  There's one that's been done and it's a huge step up from ToP's sprite scenes.

NOTE: The HUD, dialogue, etc are NOT final and will very likely be updated before the first release and/or in future updates!  

I'm also looking at possibly widening the game a bit more.  Only issue is the first NSFW scene wasn't designed for a wider aspect ratio but I'll see what I can do potentially.

== Maps & Reasonability ==

Town of Passion has 212 map files...  Meaning I created over 200 maps X_X

With Sexy Quest, I discovered that there are actually quite a few pre-made maps in the engine that are very well done!  The one you see in this screenshot is one.  I'm going to make tweaks to the doors & such so they fit the tall sprites but I think I'm going to utilize some of these maps.  

I'll still be creating a bunch of my own custom maps but I do want to keep things reasonable and make the work load tolerable where possible.  These premade maps are an absolute amazing help!  Very good news as far as getting the first update out even sooner!  Big maps take me quite a while.  I think the bare bones of Valencia took me over a month and even then, it received a ton of drastic changes over later updates.

== Release Date/Window ==

It's still far too soon to share that information.  However, my goal is to make the transition from Town of Passion --> Sexy Quest as smooth as possible for Patrons and general fans of each game so I don't want the wait to take very long.

Going to be working in over drive over the next month or two to try and get something playable out for everyone!  I've had a lot of time to plan the Prologue chapter of the game and all of the necessary art for it is complete.  I'll let you all know in the upcoming weeks!

Like I said before, ToP may still receive an update or two in the distant future.  Not confirming anything.... yet ;)
