PMG has been nominated for a Game Award!
Added 2023-11-14 11:18:43 +0000 UTCSo we're not exactly sure how this has happened, but last night we checked Twitter to find that Geoff Keighley had just announced People Make Games was nominated for "Content Creator of the Year" at next month's Game Awards.
We won't be able to make the event itself, because it's happening in Los Angeles and Keighley's not stumping up for our plane tickets, but it'll be nice to watch it on the telly. Hang on, I've just checked what time that is for us. HALF PAST MIDNIGHT! ON A WEEKNIGHT?!
Anyway, if you're watching it yourself and would like to keep me (it's Chris writing this, hello!) company, we'll set up a text channel for people in the Discord to hang out on the night and together, we can watch Ironmouse win this award. I've been told they're not accepting video speeches from winners, but surely they'll make an exception for one of the world's most popular VTubers?

Sure, the votes will be determined by whoever in each category has the biggest fanbase rather than anything else, but it would have been interesting to see what innovations in accessibility the nominees in that category has made, for example. But I guess not even pretending that there's anything objective behind the votes is the most honest route.
