Here's our second episode of The Games Press, our monthly podcast series in which I interview interesting voices from across the games media.
This month's guest is Patricia Hernandez, the brand new Editor-in-Chief of Kotaku. She arrives at an important moment for the site, I think, with several senior editorial staff having departed last year while pointing to corporate mismanagement as their reason for doing so. I didn't want to write this anywhere more publicly, but just for you patrons, I will say that G/O Media's CEO, Jim Spanfeller does seem like a colossal prick.
Anyway, Patricia is an incredibly thoughtful person and as you'll hear in this interview, is in the process of trying to rebuild Kotaku all over again. It's not just about repairing the damage done by corporate executives for her, but about questioning what a games site should strive to be in 2021.
