Added 2025-10-05 14:01:58 +0000 UTCWe're back with a crucial, lengthy episode. The Life Of A Showgirl is here, and it's causing meltdowns left, right, and center. Here on Evolution of a Snake, we try to find the middle in the midst of the chaos. So, here are our unfiltered first impressions of Taylor Swift's 12th studio album. It's time to unpack it all: the Tayvising, Charli hateration, bad bitch/savage of it all.

I think it’s okay if Taylor was like, “I just want to make a happy album full of radio hits that is going to remind the public I’m not just the sad girl crying about breakups, I’m a charts dominator who will own the radio waves for the next two years with these earworms”. I agree with your last statement that it’s not that deep of an album but it’s not supposed to be! The way she has been promoting this album has basically been “I was happy when I made it, I’m happy now, I think the lyrics are funny, also have you seen my ring?!”… like she isn’t trying to make this The Cultural Moment. After trying to prove how serious she is as an artist with Joe breathing down her neck, and all the other art boys she’s tried to prove herself to, maybe she just wanted to allow herself to be silly and have fun bopping in the kitchen with her fiance. And it’s all gonna be okay if there aren’t any lyrics that need a dictionary.

Thank you for feeding us so much, it really enhances the experience of a new Taylor album. <3 Will you maybe do an episode talking about all the interviews she did with the promotion of TLOAS? I feel like she said a lot of things and would love to know your opinion!
