Taylor Swift Acoustic Set Eras Tour

The Hardest Twerkin’ Men in Showbiz are back with another one! This video was different for us because we got to peek into Taylor’s musicianship; she’s a good guitar player, and her natural rhythm is deeply ingrained. This, surprisingly, was one of the most satisfying for us to watch from the Eras tour.

Hope you enjoy!!

Taylor Swift Acoustic Set Eras Tour

Comments

comment about her being endorsed by Taylor --- she attended the 2005 NAMM show, and sang several songs on a red Taylor -- American Girl cover, and some of her unreleased stuff. Don't know when she actually got the custom Koa, but she had it for the radio tour she did for her debut. A gift from her parents? Taylor used a Baby Taylor on the Fearless Tour tour bus, and gave them a design in her handwriting (Love Love Love around the soundhole, with a sort of vine decoration she drew for them; they still sell it as a signature model. 3.4 size DN.

Robert Thompson

It was so fun watching the acoustic sets during live streams. Holding our breath waiting for her to play the first few notes so we could figure out what she was playing. Then screaming and singing along once you figured it out.

Teresa Salas

Y'all are pretty funny - good video

Kiya Simons

I'm a country swifty!!! i despised her when she first came out until i really gave it a chance and this song Our Song is my all time favorite song of hers. it is the first song i really remember obsessing over for her...Red was first album i obsessed over but Our Song is just soooo good. And i kept hearing she is a great performer so i couldn't ignore this. She is my first country artist i loved too aside from Leanne Rhymes lol....90's kid here

Jessica Rose Causey

I haven’t seen anyone talk about it but “you’re on your own kid” is a song that Stevie Nicks has said helped her get through the loss of McVie. When Stevie Nicks attended the eras tour in Dublin, Taylor did Clara Bow and You’re On Your Own Kid. In Clara Bow, Taylor has a verse about Nicks. You absolutely should watch a video of the performance because it’s really amazing and seeing the crowd react to Stevie’s name and Taylor singing about how Stevie held the crowd captive and they went wild and everyone is losing their minds in the crowd there and Stevie is there for it and then she transitions to “You’re on your own kid” and it’s incredible.

The absolution album in the back 🖤

Bianca Juárez

Hey guys! I just wanted to say (if someone hasn’t already) that with the acoustic set… based on the song. The lights change colors on the bracelets everyone is wearing. So like for Our Song it was green for debut, you’re in love blue for 1989, pink for lover with death by a thousand cuts, and purple for I can see you from Speak Now (the vault tracks) etc ☺️☺️☺️ so if you don’t know the song, you can use context clues for the album! The only exception was Maroon from midnights 😂 because well. They were maroon

Hailey LeeAnn

Also! Taylor just about cleared out with all my favorite songs showing up on the Eras movie! Ready For It in the set, Death By a Thousand Cuts and Maroon in the Acoustic set, and then hints of Down Bad in the TTPD set and releasing the Acoustic Set of The Prophecy with a digital version of the whole album for $5.99! I'm eating well!!

Darsy Smith

I just want to say, there was a really fun graphic someone made showing audience excitement for Eras before and after she started doing mashups of her songs. Before, it would spike twice, and after it was like a complete scribble of absolute CONSTANT excitement with peaks when she'd switch songs, it's fantastic! I think you should get one of us to send you a compilation of a few of her very best mashups to watch.

Darsy Smith

Not Taylor related but have y’all reacted to hi ren yet? It’s not pop but I think y’all would have a lot to discuss with it!

Nicolette

i'm so stoked that you have the full rep tour link, you'd both enjoy it so so much!!!

jo ♡♥︎

She’s def been known to use keyboards set into her “pianos” so that would make sense.

Jenna Bolmgren

Thanks guys for reacting to the surprise songs, they were the ultimate gift to the fans during this tour. 🤗💕🫶

Jenna Bolmgren

Same!! I am from Mpls and was at N1 and felt so distraught after N2 getting Dear John and Daylight… I felt so much redemption getting to be at Miami N1 🙌

Jenna Bolmgren

Someone may have already said this, but you should watch the the "City of Lover" performances where she does excellent acoustic guitar versions of Death by a Thousand Cuts and Cornelia Street. It's my favorite "Death By..." performance while "Cornelia..." is a song I rarely listen to on the album but always listen to this version.

GigiLou

I got two of my favorites mashed up and I was on face time with my friend sobbing hysterically! I feel you.

Grace Nelli

Y’all are going to also have to react to the Tortured Poets Department set which was added after the official movie came out, but it’s 1000% worth watching

TiffK83

Ah, I was so hoping we’d get the transition from the Acoustic set into Midnights in this video, I guess I’ll just have to wait for the season finale of Twerk Ethic react to Eras Tour 😂

Liam Mcfarlane

Not only are the surprise songs special for the fans (we all remember and have a special place in our hearts for the songs that we got) but it’s also a brilliant business move! She is celebrating her whole catalog while re-recording it! People keep going back to listen, they reconnect with these songs on Taylor’s versions, she has even used the acoustic section to announce two re-recordings of albums (no other promotion needed lol)! Plus, having a 2-4 new/differ T songs every night keeps the tour interesting and engaging for two years! it’s just brilliant

Eirini

The beauty of the surprise songs is we all watched every single show from livestreams just to see what she was going to play. Thousands of us saw every single show this way. Her numbers were truly massive in person and online. There was a fan made game called mastermind about what outfits she would wear, what secret songs she would sing etc. the entire tour was turned into a fan experience and we ate it up.

Nicolette

I was LA night one. We had I Can See You and Maroon! And of course I can always remind my kids that we were there when they filmed the movie.

Erin

You should do a reaction to each night of her acoustic set. Until Australia she did one on guitar and one on piano then she started doing mashups. I think you both appreciate those performances.

Erin

I was there!

Alli Cohen

She did forget the lyrics like three times and just stopped playing was like oh my god what is it?!

Krista Grigsby

she does two different songs or in the case of the later show's mashups for every single show and the funny thing is that y'all sort of mentioned one of the ones I got which was Fifteen but the first song is called I Can See You from the Speak Now (Taylor's Version) (from the vault) there is also a music video for it too and its completely different from what you had just heard and to add on to her guitar playing she actually learned how to play first on a 12 string.

olivia

Massively impressive that she changed up the acoustic show every night. Also, I think it makes sense that she’s such a natural around the guitar. Not just cuz she’s been playing for half her life, but she also started on a 12 string, so she had the technique behind her. She sounded amazing playing and singing, I think I’ve binged every one of these performances on YouTube.

Devoney Taylor

She did a different set each night for about 150 shows, so there is a massive amount of videos of her acoustic set! Here is a link to a playlist with all of them https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLsUU6a_OaIvXKLYKYzK71RYMYLacDVneL&si=vh-6pswA34h2uUlb

Sasha

I am still here from the country days. From the first single Tim McGraw song.

Richard

Idk if anyone mentioned this already but the last song on piano YOYOK (your on your own kid) has a line “make the friendship bracelets” and that pretty much was the reason everyone traded friendship bracelets at the eras tour it’s so cute

Teaghan

I see you, Slow Pour shirt!!

Erin Huffman

After you do all the eras you should react to some of the Errors tour moments

Anna.98

loved it more when she did mashups per acoustic song (in guitar and piano)

Arvin Stephen Lalim

When I went (in Glendale AZ night 2), she played the song that made me a swiftie (State of Grace)! I had liked her casually before, but her album Red really made me become a big fan. That moment at the concert was so magical and felt like it was such a serendipitous moment in my life, and I think a lot of people experienced that. Like you did when she played death by a thousand cuts(check out her live from Paris version, it’s SO good)! Such a cool feeling and I think that’s just another reason why people love her.

Siena

This is so perfectly said!! I am one of those longtime swifties that has grown and evolved with her! It’s beautiful!

Kenz

I fully agree. The moment she started Mary’s Song I completely melted. Same with Guilty As Sin?, Sweeter Than Fiction and So Long London. I guess I was just very lucky.

Dennis Meyer

love the songs she did for these nights and nice reaction1

codenamewitch xx

You Are in Love is on 1989! Such a good song. Cannot wait for the Rep Stadium tour reaction, especially Cooley’s reaction to King of My Heart. The drums are 🤌🏻

Shelby

You definitely need to check out some of her mashups that she did for some of the acoustic sets!

Jamie-Lee Hotti

It cracked me out how you got your surprise song! 😂 you get the excitement now!

Hayley Trimmier

I think there are elements of stars within music and i usually categorize them as this: -artist -singer -songwriter -performer -musician And you can be really great and reach success being just 2 of those but taylor is one of the rare ones that are all of them in one. Especially where she’s at now. Im one of the ones still around that loves country taylor and i think many of the swifties do. I feel like I’ve evolved with her. Like the things she sang about and the melodies she had early on was perfect for my teenage self and today her music is perfect for my 30+ self. Loved this reaction and i can’t wait to see the finale with midnights! Also song in here for your knowledge GUITAR: -I can see you (speak now taylors version/ one of the vault tracks) -death by a thousend cuts (lover) -our song (debut) PIANO: -You are in love (1989/ originally one of the deluxe tracks) -maroon (midnights) -you’re on your own, kid (midnights)

Isabella Peterson

Can confirm. Having Taylor play YOUR songs as your surprise songs is so special.

Emma Davidson

I went to Miami night 1 and she mashed up two of my all time favorite songs on piano (Daylight & this is me trying) and I lost my mind. Best thing to happen ON TOP OF THE TOUR! And I got to see Florence perform Florida!

Grace Nelli

As someone who actually got one of their favorite songs of hers at the concert I went to on my birthday, I can tell you my reaction was to scream, cry, and nearly fall on the floor. It was so so so magical, I’ll never forget it as long as I live

Katy

You get tickets then wonder for MONTHS “what is she gonna plaaayy? I hope she does….” It was a complete surprise every night because she doesn’t repeat. So you could kind of use process of elimination by watching tiktok lives each night and just hope and pray another city didn’t get “your song” when you weren’t there. We watched a lot of tik tok live lol The eras tour was fun for swifties even when we weren’t actually at the show!

Brittany Johnson

The first one is from the speak now album! You guys are gonna love that album when you get to it 💜

April Green

Also not to mention showcased her rhythmic abilities to match song tempos mid performance!

Em

She has forgotten lyrics in the Eras tour and the crowd helped her! The videos are called errors tour. Really funny. It makes us love her more. It is really tough to come up with new songs/mashups every night especially since most are deep cuts or vault tracks

Susanne Stien Masters

The best part was she eventually started mashing up a few songs together which was so fun because it gave swifties a little secret link between songs for added surprise

Em
