There is a series on hulu called Genuis: Aretha Franklin. She plays Aretha in it as she goes through her career. ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. You both would love it. Also check out her singing I'm Here from the color purple.

The song is called Stand Up it's unbelievable to see her range. She also won a Tony for her role in The Color Purple on Broadway. There is a live version of the song, "I'm Here" she kills it. Cynthia is British, born to Nigerian immigrants. She's 38 years old. A fact that I both love and hate about her 😆 I'm glad you're enjoying Hamilton, but buckle up, cause it's about to get rough for our founding fathers.

Their Live Vol. 1 recording is incredible, and it’s available for free on YouTube.
