2026-03-19 22:20:56 +0000 UTCSara working with Atticus makes sense but I assumed she would also take a look at the charity like she did Ironshore. Elijah literally acknowledges that he doesn't pay it much attention, so unless Atticus does, there is probably corruption as he suspects. But why just ignore it when he has two trusted merchants he could ask to audit it, and when they can't really complain as even if they try to dispute his founder status he is the strongest person on the planet. We don't know a lot about the charity so it could show how that all works and what it does.

Then when she goes back to the empire it will go the world tree version of viral and drive insane demand for retriever puppies such that there will be horrific puppy mill crimes here to for unthinkable to modern man. This will be a good source for relatively low stakes drama and ethical reasoning for Sara. And also a good source for lots of money. And puppies.

In behavioral science, negative reinforcement mean encouraging a behavior (reinforcement) by removing (negative) a stimulus/reward. What Elijah and Atticus did with Sara was postive punishment. Discouraging a behavior (punishment) by adding (positive) a stimulus (the hang over). In short, the postive/negative adjectives are used quantitatively, not qualitatively.
