SHANI | MAIN SET OF NOVEMBER

Hi, sweethearts! <3

Today is the day, when I present you my character of November - Shani from The Witcher 1! As it was last year I wanted to bring to life another character from the first part of games. 

I changed the original design as always to make some part look more complicated and interesting in my opinion. You just can check the collar and compare it to the original. Let's begin my story!

The dress is sewed by my gorgeous seamstress. Suddenly, this cloth was made to small and short (even for me XD), but we've analyzed the ways to solve to, better (visually) was to leave as it was made. Golden braid on collar was decorated by me with tiny pearls. The caduceus I painted with golden paint with "golden-leaf" effect. Belts are fully made by me as always: EVA and eco-leather method. OMG, it was very tense moment, when I was doing all the lines on belts with sewing machine, especially on brown ones. The choker for pendant I did too. The detail on belts of extraordinary shape with the snake I was remaking 3 times: first try - I cut out from EVA 2 details, processed them with sandpaper, liquid nails and liquid resin and painted them above -> didn't work for me; 2 - I cut out 4 EVA-details (2 for base, 2 for frames), processed them with engraver, do the same steps with priming and coloring it golden -> on this step I didn't like how still rough they're looking like. Final varient was: 2 details with eco-leather covering, above I attached golden braid (I used it for Alternative Triss), snake was made from the straightened lace, I used as framing for belts. Golden single bracelet I just primed and painted with golden aerosol paint. But this snake bracelet was my ass-pain XD Overall I could say, that 3 resin snakes were moraly damaged and 2 of them were tortured. What do I mean: my first plan was: get a snake, rip her belly open, put a metal wire into, glue it and paint - brilliat plan. Everything ruined on the third step - I just couldn't close her belly - I glued it, sewed it, heated her - nothing worked out. For the second snake I did something different - I tryied to push the wire thoughtout her month for 15 cm - like I want to cook her on fire XD. These two snakes just crashed. With last snake I was more gentle - I just primed and painted her in golden. On photoshoot I just glued her to my hand with Crystal Glue - and it worked for 100%. Pity snakes... The wreath of daises I took from The Witcher 3: Hearts of Stone. I did it with special floristical wire and 2 bouquet of plastic daised. Important moment about working with artificial flowers - you should keep them above steam for several seconds, then they will look good, not rumpled. The wig I borrowed from my friend, who also did Shani, I'm very grateful to her!
