NEW #BRAMLEYAPPLE BLOSSOMING ON THE 🍏 TREE…

I hope you like this new model, Barbora, because she is likely to become my next favorite model, now that Martina is so hard to book!
I was excited about her and had great expectations even before meeting her in person, but after our first shooting I can confirm she is going to become my new flagship model, an I will try to work with her every time she comes to Italy.
Of course she is not going to be as "versatile" as Martina in all styles, but it is as if she got me back on the original track I was traveling on when I started the project, and this is priceless for me.

This photo was shot with the Leica SL2-S + the Contax-Zeiss Planar T* 50mm f1.7 at the widest aperture, and it was one of the last pictures to show also the apartment, because it was a very pretty one.
I love how this lens is dreamy wide open, giving a special glow.
Furthermore the image is very sharp in the focused area, whilst the out of focus areas are nicely blurred but still easily identifiable, helping to create a story.
This is the lens I accidentally made two offers for on Ebay at the same time, and both were accepted, so I had to buy 2, planning to sell the worst copy.
At the moment I'm using one for nudes, and the other to carry around mounted on the old Sony A7, to use with no special regards.
Yesterday, I posted a photo of a cat I met in the streets of Chiavenna (I enclose it as bonus picture to this post), made with this lens, and on Flickr it received a praise that reflects our times: "Looks so good I thought it was AI! Incredible detail and sharpness."
It is sad that a traditional digital photo should be mistaken for AI only because it is of good quality, but in a world populated mainly by computational phoneography or software generated images, we are forgetting what a good quality photo shot with a traditional lens should look like.

But this quality is nothing, compared with what we shot on the GFX + "Martin".
393 images have been shot with this combination on a total of 700, more than half, because Barbora is finally the capable and patient model that can stay still until I finish focusing, even with the inferior GFX viewfinder.
Tomorrow I will post 2 photos of Barbora shot on the GFX + "Martin" (one on Patreon, and one on my regular social media feed), both are only implied nudes, but still incredibly powerful!
Stay tuned and brace yourself!
