The African Queen FULL PATREON REACTION

I liked this classic but if it was meant to be romantic... I don't think so.

Both were great actors and I enjoyed NOT knowing where the story went.

Ohhh! Yeah, I don’t care for the old fashioned ways… I DID love her pouring out his alcohol; that was hilarious! I think I have Philadelphia Story downloaded for me to watch. Is she related to Audrey Hepburn?

But entertaining, right 😬

Fine, reveal the existence of feminine wiles. I had a hunch. I feel you were judging their relationship based on current norms. The British of that time were much more formal about romantic matters. They kissed, they married, what more do you need? It was fun watching you second guessing the story. For a comedic performance by Katharine: "Bringing up Baby" (1938) with Cary Grant or "The Philadelphia Story" (1940) with Jimmy Stewart and Cary Grant. Side note: Katharine holds the record for most Oscar wins (4) by an actress. By the way, technicolor has been around in one version or another since the 1930s.

I think the film is more of an action/adventure. It did have a non-traditional romance aspect to it, but I definitely don’t consider it a romance movie.
