About Klara, I showed you only photos shot with the Fujifilm X100VI, so far, the wild card during this shooting.
Because I needed to get acquainted with the Fujifilm files, and help me to take the decision to buy the GFX.
But now it's time to introduce you to the pictures we made on the other camera, the "regular" one I've been using for a long time now: the Leica SL2-S.
A camera I've learned to love despite its quirks, as it is a pleasure to use.
A very special camera it is hard to define "regular" in any way, but easy to feel like an extension of my hands and eyes.
Now I will have to learn to use the new camera, the GFX, even if I know it is not going to be as pleasurable as an experience, I'm pretty sure it is going to be rewarding with its final results for at least a couple of reasons:
- First the larger sensor.
- Second the film simulations giving a better starting point for my editing.
I've been trying the Adobe profiles on the Leica DNG files to see if I could replicate the magic of Fujifilm film simulations colors in Lightroom (how hard can it be), but it was a great disappointment!
Just to give you an example, the most suited profile I've found to apply to my portraits of Klara is the one called "Adobe Landscape", and this to me is a clear indication they don't know what they're doing.
Or maybe it is just me...
Do you like this Adobe landscape profile applied on the landscape orientated portrait of Klara?
2 more pictures of Klara shot on the SL2-S today on my regular social media feed, and on DA Subscriptions.
