2023-04-18 02:02:19 +0000 UTCI think you missed the whole premise of Viserys' dying words and how everyone reacted to it. Viserys never changed his mind. Not even once. He loved Rhaenyra more than anyone else because he felt guilty of what he did to her mom. Otto and the Small Council were stealing the throne from Rhaenyra. They were trying to keep everything quiet so they locked everyone up till they can crown Aegon. Making it a done deal before Rhaenyra can even react.
