Sounds good!

On my post from August the 28th, I received a useful comment by Daniel974, suggesting to complete my "Hi-Fi" system with noise-reducing Bluetooth headphones.
I found the idea very interesting and started researching on the subject.
Apparently, if you want to set up a Hi-Fi with good quality speakers, you have to be prepared to spend at least 10 times the price of the most exceptional headphones, and you still need to place it in a perfect room, treated to maximise the sound diffusion...
But if you buy good headphones, you're done, and you can start enjoying music straight away.

To enjoy the best possible sound, though, I opted for an open back, planar construction, traditional cable headphone from Sennheiser, on sale since 1997.
When this post comes out, I will have completed the 48 hour brake-in period, which consists in leaving the CD player playing the same CD in loop through the headphone to loosen up the membranes and blend in all the delicate components, in order to reach the full potential of the equipment.
But I can tell you the headphone was sounding well right out of the box, and I'm enjoying this way to listen to music!

My all time favourite classical music and opera CD's never sounded as good, engaging and natural as with this HD 600 Sennheiser, and this is good news for my photography as well, because I can't wait to come back home from work, to sit down to my desk, and listen to music, whilst I'm working on my photos.

After watches and knives, I think I've discovered my next passion: the return of music in my life.

I'm glad you found a setup that works for you. You can't go wrong with Sennheiser - or Sophy! I hear music just looking at her.

What a perfect combination working on your photos and listening to music. Sounds like a good way to spend some time.
