Being ourselves.

I love the spontaneity of younger models, because they are not used to pretend, less expert in posing a better version of themselves, they look more natural, albeit more awkward at times
Possibly the poses are less elegant, or refined, but are cute, a tender version of reality which is very noble in itself!

At the same time I like the other extreme, like Martina or Hilary C., that are able to make their mastery in posing feel as natural, even if the poses appear perfect, majestic, with nothing out of place.

Maybe this is not just an evolution in the ability to master their trade, but a true change of personality, the development of an enhanced confidence.
Maybe the expert models are not playing a role, but they are just being themselves at a higher level, an improved version of themselves.

The same goes for every other craft, like photography, for example.
Sometimes I envy the naive approach I was experiencing when I was at the beginning of my career as an amateur photographer, and the wonder for every photo I was taking, even the technically wrong ones.
Nowadays, after over 30 years, taking pictures is second nature for me, an instinct developed with experience, especially with the nude photography I'm working on so frequently.
But I don't feel like I'm lying or pretending something that I don't feel, especially because my work is creative, and I don't have any client that ask me for something specific.
I can take the pictures that I want, as I want, and I can be myself in doing that.
At the same time I feel that I'm not guiding my models too much, I just ask them to be themselves and act in a natural way.

This freedom is very important, and it is the kind of freedom you Patrons are donating to me: you don't tell me what to do, you are just helping out with my expenses, you are making my project possible, but you are giving me carte blanche.
You are asking me to do my stuff, to be myself, as I'm doing with my models, and this is the best approach, based on maximum trust in every stage of the process.

Some poses in "professional" photography have become such clichés that I can't bear to look at them. Natural poses are far superior. I trust your judgement and you never disappoint.
