About the Goldentot Situation...

I wanted to give this more time because the content of the situation is sensitive. Due to that, emotions can understandably flare and put all parties involved under far more stress than necessary. This has already started to elicit reactions from people on NEST members' streams. Some are valid concerns and others are borderline taking out their frustration. For the protection of the group's members and as much transparency as possible, I'm addressing you all now.

The post was made my Tate's ex-girlfriend, Sarah, where she describes her four-year relationship with Tate as emotionally abusive and unhealthy. Because of this information and the reasons listed above, Tate has voluntarily stepped down from his position in NEST with Corey and I in agreement.

This situation was unknown to everyone else in the group. Now that everyone is aware, we are all in agreement that having Tate leave is for the best. I've spoken with him briefly since then, but I will allow him the chance to speak for himself. We don't condone the harm done to Sarah, but I at least hope he can grow, improve, and heal from this as well. If for nothing else, than to prevent a situation like this from happening again.

While we all have our faults and sometimes even demons, when they start to affect others negatively, things need to change. Hopefully this decision will ultimately be a positive one.

Now for the more selfish part of the post: how do I proceed with NEST content.

How we as a group were affected was minimal. The accusations of what was said about us is, in short, not a surprise but nothing that made me angry either. It was a vibe I was always keen to but my goal is to entertain everyone, not stroke my ego (not to say that I don't have an ego, mind you). As long as negativity never seeps out to affect the group, I often let things slide even if they slight me directly. This was, at the very least, not one of those cases. He was able to make you all laugh in ways I can't on my own. That's the beauty of NEST; having varying personalities for varying personalities.

Regarding the videos of E9S and E10S, they were recorded well before any of this came to light. They may need to be scrapped altogether, but I will simply be trying to reduce Tate's presence in them for the time being. Again, I hold no personal grudge because I was not the one wronged and nor was the group. Because of these accusations, however,  his usually beloved antics will be painted in that negative light. As a fan of other content creators, I know the pain of learning something dark about people you enjoy watching. I'd like to avoid doing that to you as much as possible.

That does, however, present another problem which is the introduction of our newest member, Woops. If you are unaware, him and Tate have been an incredibly entertaining and charismatic duo lately, and Tate was the one who introduced him to the group. Woops has chosen to stay on board, but while he is still getting familiar with everyone, most of his interactions were with Tate. I hope you'll share kind sentiments with him while we adjust since his role in the E9-10S videos will likely be choppy until we get through E11S with a fresh roster.

To conclude, I will say that I would prefer this discussion to stay off my stream. I would like to continue making it a place where you can escape your problems, not be riddled with more. I will be making a video addressing this as well so as many eyes can see. That is the appropriate place to get things off your chest. I cannot speak for our other members, but I would appreciate you not harassing them about the situation. It's not easy on any of us. We're human too.
