December update 9: MTE LEVEL 2 PLAYTESTING!

v 2.01 fix: Fixed "reset" in level 2 to reset to level 2!

Level 2 is not 100% done, but the enemies are in and ready for testing! Ideally I would want to release level 2 completely, with Cleo at the end as well. But my partner is on holidays, so the full release of level 2 will be early next year. You can at least play around with this for Christmas for now, I hope you like it!

New content: 

- Get to level 2 by finishing level 1(FIXED!)! Level select is not working yet, sorry!
- You can reset Max in level 2 as much as you want (Esc -> Reset).
- The ending is just a placeholder, will eventually be a riddle puzzle with Cleo the Sphynx!
- Galley is also not working yet, sorry!

Bugs and problems:

- Twinsucci, Dee and anubi need sound effects for their attacks.
- Sometimes the loading resolution is off, it should load at 1280 x 720 (720p). If it's any smaller/bigger, try setting your monitor resolution to 1920x1080.
- The animations play too fast/slow: Check your screen refreshrate (right click desktop -> display settings -> scroll down -> advanced settings). The game should play fine at 60 hertz, if your screen is 30 or 120+ hertz, try setting it to 60.
- Twinsucci doesn't attack when Max is in the struggle ribbons from Anubi.
- Make hitbox of Twinsucci summon bigger, last longer.
- Fix skybox problem at end level.
- Remove portal and replace with Cleo.

Coming early 2021:

- Fully functional Cleo the Sphynx riddle ending.
- Love filter on higher corruption (hearts on the screen, heart beat sounds).
- Gallery functions.
- Level select working .
- "Surrender" option.
- Max's corner portrait change to reflect his corruption level.
- Shield effect on anubi, dee.
- add one more enemy for level 2!
- introduction pages (lore) at the start.

For windows PC downloaders: Unpack the .RAR file, and run Max_The_Elf_DEMO. If it doesn't start up, try checking your firewall, or run as administrator, it might be getting blocked.

FOR MAC OS downloaders:I packed it as a .RAR file! On Macs some unzippers can corrupt the files, We've tested unpacking with "StuffIt" and it worked. If you need a different one, try:  https://apps.apple.com/us/app/the-unarchiver/id425424353?mt=12
