All I can say is it will probably help you grow your fanbase since people usually like to have voting rights in exchange for support since commissions are very expensive for most people.

I myself do occasionally invite ideas and opinions on SNS or live streaming, but except those opportunities, I don't welcome being sent ideas one-sidedly from anyone not only you. And there are two reasons; First, I once drew a piece based on an idea from one of my fans, but that person treated my art as if it were his/her own work, infringing on my copyright. (I'm not saying you would do the same, but it's true that there are people out there who behave in unexpected ways...) Second, I occasionally accept paid commissions. They pay me to send me their requests, and then it's unfair to them that it seems like I'm accepting ones for free elsewhere.
