Spoilers: we've seen the entire series already, and it's pretty great. I think anyone and everyone can enjoy this despite how you might feel about the Terminator movies.

Production IG has done a lot of great anime. Most notable is Ghost In The Shell: Standalone Complex. This would be an excellent watch along! It's a thinking person's SWAT mixed with a little Beverly Hills Cop humor. They also have done this volleyball anime called "Haikyuu!" that a few people have liked.
