I think I saw this one when I was 8 and then I saw Aliens when it came out on VHS when I was 10.
Augustin, you are thinking of Spaceballs, "Hello my baby, hello my honey..."
When you were talking about hearing the screaming deaths of Parker and Lambert and what it would do to you, I was more thinking about hearing that and now knowing you were all alone with what killed them.

Ridley said the room that was all wet with the chains was supposed to be condensation, but I forget FROM what exactly. I was like you guys and was asking "Where's this water coming from?"

Oh, the Nostromo was the ship that they detached at the beginning to go down to the planet. The HUGE thing they were attached to was the refinery for all the ore they collected. The Nostromo is, kinda, towing it, but not really. It attaches and controls it. Also, when you see them leave the ship and get a scale of it from the landing gear, that was also little kids (Ridley's and other crew) in those suits.

Also, they HAD to explore the planet to find what the signal was and report back or they don't get paid for this mining mission, which they must've been on for at least a couple of years since they're halfway back to earth and it would take ten more months to get there. They didn't stay long at all. They found the ship, looked in it, Kane got attacked and they came right back. They didn't really do anything wrong, EXCEPT Ash breaking quarantine regulations, which was NOT a mistake.
I LOVE this movie. Love horror that's about tension and not gore.

I know that we, as viewers, are on edge because...well, we know we're watching a horror movie. The characters have no idea they're IN a horror movie and they're just exploring an alien ship, which is an AMAZING discovery. If I was there, I'd probably be excited like John Hurt. But, we do know it's a horror movie so we're like, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!? GET OUTTA THERE!" π
