Omg, you are right. I played this game excessively several times and love Yennifer, but I couldn't make the connection until you mentioned it.

I was not expecting Andy Serkis to show up, and this was such a tense and well depressing episode. But a beautiful setup. Loving this show so much.

The more I watch the more 1984 f eels I get whenever they show the empire behind the scenes. The suspense and suggested terror slowly builds throughout the episodes. Definitely getting tons of bang for buck out of practical effects. The dialog isn't written for the general audience, and I think that's okay for this Rogue One lead up.

One little thing that's easy to miss in this episode is before Bix was taken into the room they interrogated Paak in, Meero told the guard to leave him there because she wanted Bix to see him. Then when Bix gets brought in, Meero acted surprised that Paak was still there, saying something like, "What are you doing? Why is he still here?? Get him out of here!" Manipulation tactics before they even bring a suspect in.

This episode is when I finally recognized the actress that plays Lt. Meero as the voice of Yennifer in the Witcher 3.

Okay seriously... A mashup costume of Mothman and Mon Mothma would be genius.

I'm pretty sure what they are building in this prison are joints for the framework of the death star. They are all star shaped with six arms that spread from the center with a slight angle. Exactly what you would need to build a sphere. What is interesting to me, is that we have seen Yularen now for the second time, and they still didn't bother to mention him by name. This is some kind of fan service on a higher level. To have this important figure in there, where fans know what he means and represents, but for him to still work for everyone who doesn't know who he is as the leader of the bad guys.

I love this show so much. Probably more so do due the parallels to our country's own political landscape and the disturbing way controlling laws are being written across our land and especially in my state, Florida. The Empire shows us what authoritarian rule looks like. Those of us who grew up with family who were in the fight during World War II understand the stakes. That war is so far out of the general public's conscious, Andor is showing us the lives we will be living should the evil of control over choices in every day life become the law of the land. There are people in our country already familiar with the way for profit prisons are fed. Yet as long as people live comfy in suburbia, they will only vote for their tiny concerns and let democracy be snuffed out in the process. I guarantee if our democracy is snuffed out, you're going to see people being thrown out of second story windows on the regular. Why? Because absolute power corrupts absolutely. Andor reminds us what history has already told us and it does it by perfection in writing, acting, sets, FX, music, all of it. I'm definitely going to miss the show once the season has completed. Quality firing at the top of their game in all aspects is a hard thing to say good-bye to.
