Ms. Marvel 1x4 Uncut Reaction!

Comments

Hate to agree with Hector that I have no memory of Partition being mentioned in school. Its messed up that I've learned more about this huge thing in history from Doctor Who and Ms Marvel than I did in school

Hector swooping in with a shoutout to Rick Steves ... good stuff.

Can anyone pinpoint the exact year of the last train situation? Wild thought: I don't know if Gandhi would be alive at the point in time, but what if, Ben Kinsley would reprise his role as Gandhi in this past somehow, I would flip the table, even if it's just a cameo. I have seen the 1982 movie Gandhi several times and it was one of the triggers for my decision to refuse military service and became a civilian service worker later, after the refusal was accepted by the government. Great reaction BTW, I also enjoy the family scenes very much and agree, 100% authentic. I love the short Bacta Tank comment in the intro ;)

I first learned about The Partition from the Ben Kinsley 1982 movie Gandhi. I remember it briefly being mentioned in 9th grade World History, but that was it. When you read about how many people died and how many are presumed dead because they started the journey and disappeared along the way... all because the British decided to make up an imaginary line. But yeah, what a great episode. Loved seeing a positive view of a city that just the western world depicts so poorly. I don't want there to only be two more episodes left, but I am confident what we are going to see is going to knock it out of the park.

Ha! I just watched this VFX Artist React from Corridor Crew series and they just did RRR and I was like, I think I might have to see that one.

One theory I have is that America Chavez will show up maybe in the season finale to help Kamala and possibly use her powers to blast the Gin to another dimension? Since she was at the red carpets. Or even as a post credit scene of her and Kamala meeting. That would be a great scene to have them together. I also think her mom will end up being the one who makes the final outfit. As an act of love and I’m going to be an emotional mess if we get that scene.

Ugh the ending!! Haha I want more!! What a fantastic episode, I love the world building and I wish the series was a little longer. It makes me sad that there’s only two episodes left and then a whole other year before we see Kamala again. But to Hectors point, I didn’t learn about any of this in Canadian school either. We barely learned about Indigenous history other than one chapter in my social studies class. If it wasn’t for me being Indigenous, I probably wouldn’t know anything at all in my own country. This series (and Moon Knight) makes me want to go read up on these events and just the culture in general. I’m so happy we have Kamala in the MCU and I hope more people want to learn as well. Btw Hector, all of your ATLA references make me so happy!! And don’t think I didn’t notice that shirt you were wearing! ❤️ would love to see your reactions to the upcoming Netflix show as well as the newly announced movies.

Theory: I hope this is somehow time travel and the other bangle can be found in the past to Power Ms Marvel (Kamala) up to create the "Trail of Stars"

Peter Evans

That would be hands down awesome. I watched it not long ago and it is one of the best movies I have seen this year. And there is so much stuff in this movie that I would love your reaction to :)

Starkilla

Funny you mention that…

Heroes Reforged

I know we normally don't do movies here... but the three reacting to RRR... I would love that :)

Another wild and fantastic episode in Karachi, every week I’m loving each episode and I don’t want it to end too soon.. everything from the environment, the costumes, action sequences and FOOD (so much food!!) was 👌. And btw Hector, Kamala was having a bite of Pani Puri.. the spicy ones. Missed eating those, it’s delicious 😋

Nurhadi Roshaimi

Loving the series. As a Pakistani, I was tearing up seeing shots of Karachi. I simply can't believe they showed our country in such positive and beautiful light - the culture, the lights, the vibe. The BIRYANI! Great reaction guys. Loved seeing this with you. The final partition scene is unprecedented. NEVER ever have I seen a depiction of that in Pakistani or Indian cinema. It was the most epic, memorable shot and evoked the horror and scale of that era so incredibly well. This is at another level.

Aatir Abdul Rauf

Another great episode. I am really enjoying this series.

Jon Allanson

It feels to me like Kamala is going to be the one that created the trail of stars that led her Nani to the train

Athelgar

just an FYI the video cuts off before Adam finishes speaking.

I never imagined seeing such a powerful scene of the Partition in a marvel show. It's the thing you've studied about in school but seeing it on screen like that was just so powerful.
