Anyone notice the headstones Pietro gets thrown into? One of them has the ADs name on it (Sammelman) and the quote at the bottom says "... not on her side". That is definitely foreshadowing something with Pietro being against Wanda.

Comments/Observations; Week 6: The Yo-Magic commercial is proof Pietro is Mephisto: - All the commercials up til now have been metaphors for Wanda’s past pain. THIS one is for what’s coming. The boy has red hair and a red shirt; he represents Wanda, alone and "stranded." The shark is gray and white, and speaking with the California beach rat cadence. HE represents Pietro. Also, the shark utters the line, “I snack on Yo Magic!”…translate that: “I EAT YOUR magic.” I FIRMLY believe that Mephisto is feeding off of Wanda’s powers. The mystery “aerospace engineer” that Jimmy and Monica are going to meet will be Victor von Doom: - I just happened to Google where Latveria (Doom’s fictional homeland) would be located in relation to Sokovia. According to Google, they are the EXACT same geographical location. I think the MCU will make a change and have Doom come from Sokovia, which will give him a Wanda connection. Also, seeing how there are only 3 Marvel possibilities for whom they would give this upcoming cameo to (Reed Richards, Dr. Doom, or (very doubtful) Leopold Fitz from SHIELD), my money is on Doom and a Sokovia connection. Last thought.....a theory: Given Tyler Hayward's nasty monologue to Monica, where he more or less admits his own "racism" towards enhanced people, that Darcy discovered his secret experimentation on weaponizing Vision, and Hayward's obvious priority of getting Vision back, I had a thought: What if Hayward is destined to become the MCU's version of Senator Kelly in the comics? What if Vision's tech is being used to create weapons for "protection" (i.e. Sentinels) against super heroes? Btw....proud to be a new Patreon member! Peace, and be safe!

The thing that I love about this show and is so frustrating is that it does seem to lead you to make theories like Mesphisto being behind everything and then makes you throw those theories out and come up with something completely different. I don’t think Monica is meeting anyone from the FF but I’m not sure who they would be meeting. I no longer think Mephisto is behind it but the fact that this is supposed to kind of lead into Dr Strange and the Multiverse of Madness that maybe it’s Nightmare pulling the strings. I loved Adam pointing out the connection to Parent Trap and The Incredibles too but again I have no idea where any of this is leading anymore but I am so in for the ride!

Could Evan Peters be The Beyonder? Didn't he bring characters from various realities into Secret Wars? I may be wrong because I read that when I was kid almost 40 years ago. Also, wild theory here, is Herb really Brother Voodoo? He seems kind of aware as well.

Christopher S. Brown

just a thought here, but what if the Evan Peters Pietro is really the Elder God Chthon? There is comic precedent for Chthon possessing Pietro and he was "present" at her birth in the "Wundagore Nights" Avengers arc from 1979. Also, in the comics, Chthon has manipulated her since birth to become the "vessel" on earth for his power...just a thought

This episode confirmed (to me) that Quicksilver is neither the Evan Peters nor the Aaron Taylor versions. Something about the conversations between Wanda and “Hexsilver (just thought of it)” made me think why Hexsilver never really answered Wanda’s questions or sometimes answered her question with another question. Another thing that occurred to me was the ad, Yo Magic. How the shark said to the boy “Snack on Yo Magic...” I believe that whomever the true villain of the series is is draining Wanda’s powers in some way - I don’t know. It would make sense if this force who wants her powers would hex someone into looking like Pietro to obtain more information from her. Furthermore, this force would have access to Wanda’s memories or tries to alter them in some way as a means to control her. Could this force also be the cause of the kids suddenly appearing? Do I think Wanda is the root of what’s happening? I don’t think so. But I do believe there’s some force trying to use Wanda for her hex powers - possibly drain them? And another thing I noticed no one really mentioning: Wanda’s powers. Think back to her start in Ultron. Since then, each trauma she had experienced contributed to the “evolution” of her powers. Vision was the final straw and she has evolved into (basically) a class-5 mutant/meta-human. What Hexsilver said about “your dead husband couldn’t die twice” just a means to get her to use her powers which obviously evolved again because she was able to expand the hex?

I think they will pull a Terragen gas storyline but use Hex magic. Eternals will explain only certain people have the gene to react to the CMBR radiation. Not everybody gets to be mutants unless you have the certain gene.

I still think BARF is involved. I think BARF is feeding off Wanda's magic to create this reality. The commercial just confirmed it for me. "Feed off Yo Magic" I think since Wanda can't bring the dead back to life, BARF did the math to bring in a different Pietro. I think Agnes was scamming Vision. How was she still able to move when everyone is was frozen? Why was she moving towards the border and then pulled a U-turn once Vision got there? I still think Agnes is involved.

Jeremy C

Just a quick observation on when you were speculating about Monica’s contact. She was downright giddy when she saw that her guy was an hour away. She threw way too much shade at the mention of Carol before for that kind of about-face. That was a funny meta line about him arriving in an hour, essentially telling us it won’t be in *this* hour. Three episodes left. If they’re 40 minutes long, that leaves us a full 120-minute movie’s worth of runtime to play with. Remember that guy from Superman II with debris on his windshield? “Man, this is gonna be good!”

Chad-Michael Simon

The parent trap is about reconnecting their parents, maybe because Wanda and Quicksilver have different parents from different realities?

Gork

Also, the Quicksilver flash was Evan Peters' face, not Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Wonder if that will be significant.

Brian Schuler

Wow, that's an awesome theory. Just rewatched DOFP this week with my wife since she had not seen the X Men movies and wanted to give her the background of Evan Peters' Quicksilver.

Brian Schuler

HOLY CATS We are all in agreement that Wanda is going to extend the Hex to cover the entire world, THEN retract it.... meaning everyone is "passing through it twice" just like Captain Rambeau... who is undergoing a molecular change... MUTANTS BOOOOYYYYYYY

BoxOfficeJack

You guys see the theory that SWORD is making Sentinels using vision's corpse as a template. Anyone want to guess if we've met Trask yet?

Zain Redding

Didn't Warren Ellis do a F4 run? I can't quite remember, but when y'all were talking about possible theories at the end, it tickled my brain. Again, I'm not completely sure, but would be a cool nod if so.

Torin Rogers

As soon as Wanda said that I thought the same thing. She got her powers from the mind stone and it let her mind be aware for those five years inside some sort of empty universe where she went mad. The multiverse or madness.

KPDubbs71

Just a though: Both time Wanda saw the dead version of someone, she was just reminded the past/reality really hard. (Ultron mention and QS speech)

Maxime Lapointe

I think that it might be Nick Fury and definitely something to do with the skrulls. if spiderman far from home had fury with the skrulls at the end, and sword have skrulls with a ? on there boards, there is a link there for sure. what if its beck quentin (Jake gyllenhaal) whos monicas guy and thats how he learns you can shape reality and he takes something from wandas personal belongings. he told us his back story but he was a conman so we dont know how he really obtained that sort of power. it wasnt all illusions in that movie. IDK it could be anyone so many options hahahaha

DarKnight Meh

Three quotes from this episode stand out to me: When Agnes says “All is lost”. To me, this is not some thing that you say normally as a person. It’s the kind of thing someone says when their scheme fails or something like that. My current theory (and this changes week to week, good Lord, this show is twisty) is that Agnes (alone or as part of some group) was trying to use Wanda to get something and it got out of hand because she didn’t realize how much stronger Wanda is now. So when she says “all is lost” she’s referring to the failure of her/their plan. When pseudo-Pietro says “How’d you even do all this”. That question and the whole conversation on the hay bales just cements to me that he is an agent or something. He’s just too curious about how she’s doing all this. And he’s also way too sure that she’s the one doing everything. I’m wondering if the whole Fox Quicksilver thing is just something fun for the audience and isn’t supposed to mean anything. And 75% of my belief is because I had to explain to TOO MANY friends WHY it was significant that this actor in particular was playing her brother. I just don’t know if Marvel Studios is willing to count on people watching the Fox X-Men movies for major plot points in the MCU. Or even if they have seen the movies, to make the connection that the quicksilver in X-Men is supposed to be the same quicksilver in the MCU. Some of my friends who did remember the movies just thought it was two separate superheroes with the same name. They had never made the connection between the two films. And I think a lot of the general audience doesn’t even know that the X-Men are part of Marvel. They just don’t pay attention that closely. I also think Kevin Feige would rather tell his own version of the X-Men movies instead of jumping on the fox boat. And lastly, Wanda’s “Endless nothingness”. Now this may be completely out of left field and she might be talking about just grieving, but I’m starting to wonder if Wanda was aware of being snapped and knew and was conscious for five years of not existing. It has been mentioned a couple times in the show that the snapped don’t remember that they were gone for five years. They come back and it’s like no time has passed for them. That they keep pointing it out and that Hayward mentioned it this episode too is making me think Wanda might be the exception to this. Is that a result of her being so powerful, and her powers coming from the mind stone so that Thanos couldn’t use the stone to wipe her from existence completely like everyone else. Is this part of what made her maybe (?) insane. I just don’t think her story with this is a simple as that she was grieving.

Ali

Oooooh, good one. We have to find out what happens to him, right?

I will keep my f-bombs to myself 😂

@Adam loved your frustration at the end of the episode and credit start 🤣🤣 that's gonna be my gif for frustration going forward 🤣

https://marvel-movies.fandom.com/wiki/James_Rhodes When you search for an Aerospace Engineer... If it is Reed Richards is the Hex the metaphorical vehicle/portal for alternative universes to allow the other IP characters to transition into the current MCU - perhaps a nod to that can be drawn from Darcy telling Monica her DNA was changing in the Hex. So great to be able to think and read other people's views.

HDubNZ

My first thought last episode was Reed, I will stick with it, a first small nod towards the F4 movie coming up in .... 23 , I think.

A. Bielke

I think Vision started tearing to pieces because he was originally in pieces. From the S.W.O.R.D. footage of Wanda "stealing" Vision, he was already in pieces strewn about. My theory is that Wanda was informed of what they were doing to Vision (i.e. the Hayward file Darcy found called "Cataract", which could be a nod to vision) and went to get him. Whatever happened next led to this. And Hayward is trying to get Vision back and cover up what he was doing.

Curtis Murphy

Darcy: We have a full clown car ... :P

A. Bielke

What if Evan Peters is the beekeeper who we never saw after Wanda rewrote the reality?

MICHAEL ROPIETSKI

Time to watch again with the homies! Man, I'm still trying to wrap my head around what we're seeing. It's so good!

Greg McCoy

Wooo. Here we go! Saw the patreon email come in and my first thought was "Thank god!" haha Gotta watch with the homies.

So, MCU version of Quicksilver then?

Andrew Dickinson

You guys made me wait this long!! Lol I’m leaning towards Sue or Reed being Monica’s contact

FunkoDept

Boom! It’s like Christmas twice on Fridays. Grace Randolph put it well today. There’s the excitement of watching the first time and the frustration of the episodes ending with that wicked anticipation, and then the second viewing always brings revelations and a deep admiration for the creators. Looking forward to synching up with you guys later tonight for my second viewing!

Chad-Michael Simon

This episode confirmed for me that Westview doesn't exist and it's really the SWORD facility where Wanda found Vision in and its just been revamped for her reality. When the HEX grew the way it swallowed everything and instantly made the agents and pop-up base appropriate for that world. That's my prediction.
