400 - "Akabur"? Is it a food?

HELLO there, dear bros! I bring you joyous news! The wait is over! Let me present to you another Monday Post! This is post 400, which means we’ve got an anniversary on our hands! 8 and a half years of never-ending, never-stopping Monday Posting! That’s crazy! And you know what else is crazy? The fact that I’ll be completely ignoring this anniversary. Come to think of it, that’s not crazy at all—it’s expected, since I always ignore stuff like that. Let’s not get distracted by formalities, guys. Today is just another day at the forge. Moving on XD

OH NO! One of my shop items has been delisted. Despite that being bad news in general, I kind of appreciate that the admins took a chill pill for once and just quietly removed the content that “violated community guidelines” instead of nuking my account to hell or something. Honestly, I’ve had my entire Patreon campaign suspended for much less in the past. To sum it up: an item got delisted, but the entire situation has been handled in a very civilized way for once. ^^

SHOP. One item gets taken down, another one gets added. The circle of life continues. This week’s addition is a PSD of a CG from Princess Trainer. Go check it out—it’s in very high resolution and contains lots of layers, allowing for fun variations of the original illustration.

DID YOU KNOW? Every time somebody buys something from the shop, I get a notification email. It doesn’t happen very often, but whenever it does, I always open it to see what exactly got purchased. And in about 95% of cases—it’s Queen Trainer! ^^

MORE AI SLOP PICS. Well, although it is in fact an AI pic, and in fact slop, and a very common template, I still kind of like it. Actually, I like it a lot. So much, in fact, that I stole it from a Discord server and am sharing it here with you guys.

MOVIES. I’ve got another wholesome Japanese family movie recommendation for you. This one’s called RCTD-669. If you’ve got nothing to do over the weekend, give this one a watch—it’s surprisingly good. Trust me, you won’t regret giving it a chance.

DAY TO DAY LIFE. I rearranged some stuff in my humble display case, and I really like how it looks now. That Routes PSP game—I bought it myself a crazy amount of years ago when I was living in Japan. Honestly, I think it was at least 20 years ago. It still looks like new though (probably because I barely touched it, since it’s a VN and back then my knowledge of Japanese was pretty limited).

ROUTES PE. These days I sometimes boot it up on PCSX2, but even now it’s not always easy to follow the plot when they get too much into the technical stuff. Following the day-to-day school life of the characters is a breeze, though. And I really love the whole “spy anime girls” aesthetic. Link to the opening video:

GAMES. Can you tell me the name of this game just from looking at the screenshot above? If you’re a true man of culture, you should be able to. Well, anyway, this is Fate/Extra CCC. It was never released officially outside Japan, but there’s a fan translation (not localization)—and it’s absolutely sublime. Yet another example of passionate fans delivering in spades what multimillion-dollar corporations struggle to do these days.

ANYWAY, the game turned out to be everything I hoped it would be—and even better! A lot of 90s horny-teenager-level writing that I absolutely adore! XD

WORK. Yes, the rumors are true: I’m back to working on Reporter Trainer full time. No exciting screenshots to show off this week, though. I’m also slowly (VERY SLOWLY) gearing up to release Princess Quest on Steam—filling out forms, sending emails, waiting for replies, filing more forms, and so on.

AND THAT IS ALL the news. Not too exciting, I know—especially considering that this is Monday Post #400. Oh well, it is what it is. We shall celebrate when we have an actual cause to do so.
