343 - Hello, fellow gamers!

IT'S MONDAY again and you know what that means: time to talk about anything BUT the progress that has been made with the Queen Trainer development XD

CONDORD. Over the week I had fun watching another souless corporate creation fail miserably for once. I say "for once" because to me personally Concord is not that much worse than majority of the other games and remakes that have been released recently and were still sold well. But it looks like the normies are finally starting to wake up. Maybe. I'm not 100% sure. It could be just a weird coincidence and next AAAAAAA game will be even worse but will still sell well. I've seen it happen too many times before.

DUSTBORN. This one also provided me with a bit of entrainment over this week. In a sense that it was fun to watch other people point and laugh at it. Although I don't feel like it even deserves THAT kind of attention, so let us just move on.

LARA CROFT. New Tomb Raider cartoon looks exactly like you would expect, and I have nothing to add here. Personally I couldn't care less. For me the last real Lara Croft game was Underworld.

MY EYES! I don't play modern video games but I do still follow the news, and as result I was exposed to a lot of ugliness over the week. To clean my pallet, today I plan to play a PS2 game from my childhood, featured in the screenshots above. If you know this game, I salute you. :)

 STELLA GLOW. I am getting close to completing Stella Glow (the second time). That game brought me a lot of positive emotions so I thought maybe I should buy it just so that I could put the box on my shelf, as a physical reminder of the joy it brought me. It is still being sold on Amazon, both western and Japanese versions. Sadly I quickly noticed that western cover illustration was meddled with. Which means my only option was to get the Japanese version. But Japanese version costs 150+ bucks. That's way to expensive for me. I shall revisit this topic after I release one of my games on Steam in a distant future ^_^

LUMINOUS ARC 4. Completely by accident I found out that a forth Luminous Arc game exists. It is called Luminous Arc INFINITY and was released on PS VITA. I got really excited about it at first, but after doing some light research I have learned that it was actually created by another studio and actual fourth Luminous Game is Stella Glow. Oh well... LA:INFINITY seem to be full of cute girls and fanservice, but it is also considered by many a very mediocre game with weak story and boring characters. That's a pity... -_-

 SONYA BLADE I remember playing MK 3:Ultimatum on my SEGA and choosing Sonya only so that I could stare at her butt. I was rather young at the time but was already showing promise as a future man of culture. The actress who played her is still around and still looks hot, so I figured I'll share a pic of her just to counterbalance all the depressing stuff I started this post with.

 THE DEFAULT ENDING. Last week I spent some time improving the default ending you get in QT if you fail to trigger any of the other ones. This is basically a Princess Trainer ending where Jasmine marries Jafar. Originally the scene had no character heads (only text), because I was to tired to add them when I was working on it originally last year.
 NEW BUTTON. Also the one button that has been in a placeholder form for almost 2 years had finally been updated. The main in-game screen finally looks the way it should.

AND? My original plan was to be done with the sound and music stuff by the middle of the last week, but as usual things didn't go as planned. I finished a lot of stuff though. All the Jasmine stuff including 3 out of 4 endings have proper music and sounds now. What is left is one more ending scene and a bunch of minor scenes for the girls: dates, birthdays and such. The events themselves are not that lengthy but there are quite a few of them scattered throughout the game so this will still take some time.

THE PLAN. I hope to be done with all the sound/music stuff by Wednesday, but we'll see how it goes, because I thought I would be done with it by now, but here we are. After the sound is done I will start working on the rest of the buttons and other small things while Lyk is doing proofreading. That's the plan anyways.

OH! I ALMOST FORGOT! Dahr started to send me the new challenge icons artwork and they looks exactly the way you would expect: absolutely amazing :)

IN FACT, the challenge icons look so good that I thought it would be a waste to keep them so tiny, so I changed the original code a little and now after beating the challenge you will be able to enlarge the icon and see all the nice details :)
