As a CCG member, it is your duty to eradicate the ghouls, so you swiftly followed the woman to where this potential attack was.
You'll come to learn later that night that you should have let your mentor walk you home.

I don't think I mind the two endings. Shame that the guy got absolutely pummeled into the ground, but the story requires the blood of the innocent. I feel like she would be a pretty simple villain to implement into a story or an ally that may turn on the "heroes" anytime.
