The smooth piano jazz of the café once you arrive soothes your ears and welcomes you to a warm atmosphere. You leave the fate of your beverage and savoury to your partner. As you await her return, you can't help but feel some left over paranoia that something bad was brewing despite how relaxing the atmosphere was.
After a few moments to ponder on your thoughts, she returns and offers up some small talk while the two of you wait. You share some laughs and head onto a couple serious topics. One thing to take from this was the mention of betrayal and death.
Your partner clearly didn't trust you yet she was here at a cafe alone with you. She spoke as if one of you were going to die..which was fair to an extent. The fact of it all didn't help your paranoia however.
The picked out beverage and savoury was rather pleasant for you but unfortunately, a phone call cuts the moment short.
Maybe you were right to be paranoid..
