hello. so following the livestream the other day, i decided to record it again. the bass line was too technical (for my abilities) to record in with people watching haha, my focus kept getting lost. here is a take i did the day after. i haver footage im putting together for it. this is all 16 channels however! so the vocals will be put on after the fact. but for you're interest! this is the results of the livestream.
ofcourse working a song out this way has it's challenges (in todays perspective of composition) for instance, the arrangement needs to be known. the riffs need to be playable all in one takes from start to finish. (if no stops.
you may notice at the end of the bridge part there is a bit of a tempo mistake. well that is because i made a splice on the tape as i made a mistake but decided to carry on and do that transition again, then cut that part out of the tape. but as you can tell. i did a bad job of it!!! it is passable though! just a little easter egg. i might splice it again with a bit of blank tape to add the gap needed. but i dont know yet!
all sounds (except the kick, snare and hi hatt) are from the E&MM Spectrum,. check out the panning stuff! this is why it uses more channels than others to use the stereo pan! which is ofcourse 2 tracks used instead of one!
