hey nige! as for pressure test, i was debating how to do this, how i did it was leave the gas can on it overnight on a set of scales haha. i was going to go to the engine shop nearby to see if they could bolt it up but i just did it the risky way ha. as for the alignment of the distribution thinfy!@ yeah i did it by eye, half way through i realised one in the middle was wonky i had to heat it up again and fiddle, but yeah luckily the eye method worked out well! as it was only 8 pipers. io think if i was making more i would use a flat piece of pipe underneath, eye is good for making sure they all point upright but making sure it all ends up straight would be the issue i figured a bit of pipe to straighten it all out woudl bwork! who knows i may do it differently for the next one, i havent thought about the gas delivery yet haha

.....I like the voice, I think it works brilliantly. With your threaded joint, I couldn't see if it was a tapered thread, but some compound would help to ensure that it's gas-tight. I would probably have pressure tested the whole manifold, using the bottom comp fittings fitted with brass blanks, but then again, it is low pressure. Luckily, if your pipes aren't aligned to your satisfaction, one can simply re-heat the solder joint and wiggle the pipe, but I would probably have aligned all the pipes using a couple of plastic pipe holders per pipe set out precisely on a board, the pipes slide in the pipe holders and over-sail the board to allow creating, then soldering the manifold, but obviously without flux on the top pipes themselves...effectively you are creating a dead man, in place of the vice. Of course, you may have done this already, and just pretended you had great freehand skills and a graduated eyeball, and made the switch without us noticing, in which case, I salute you, for your prescience. Your experiments are a joy, no-make that a gas, to watch....from a safe distance...

When you did the teaser at the beginning of the holiday season asking for a guess who you got for the secret santa, I saw the pipe and thought "Is Nicolas Bras in the gift exchange this year?!"
