UPDATE AND GIVEAWAY WINNER
Added 2018-03-18 10:45:08 +0000 UTCgreeeeeeeeetings earthlings. this is an update of the next mystery machine in question! as well as the WINNER of the big button JAMES GREEN, SHOW YOURSELF.
The next giveaway is to do with the first vid of april! which is the SAFETY VALVE, so a couple of those in the bag for you all :D :D :D :D
SO! update, ive been updating daily on the above mystery build. the trials and tribulations so far. so the EYES ARE DONE. i have a lot more servo's to add. 8 in total so an arduino wasn't gunna cut the mustard, so its time for the TEENSY 3.2 BOARD, which has a heck of a lot more PWM pins. (multiplexing... whats that?) so its very useful for this project. As i want the eyes to not only sync up, but be controllable separately. So the eyes are looking and working well!
The axle from the up and down servos to the eyes is a bloody cut up cable tie haha, so it is indeed made from scavenged crap.
CURRENT CONSUMPTION. oooohf these servo's are hungry, the synth power supply doesn't cope well with solenoids. anymore than 1 and your stuffed. so need to think of a plan. BUT ITS COMING.
