The version of this map that we will see in the adventure is going to have the water replaced with something else that will hopefully make your players think carefully before making their next move.

Fury of the Fire Beetles Preview:
The party travels through the Underdark, carefully navigating its twisting tunnels and echoing caverns. Adventurers must always be on alert in the depths below, for dangerous denizens, hungry monsters, and even flourishing ecosystems can be found around any corner. The deep gnomes, or svirfneblin as they are often called, understand this well. Natives to the Underdark, they live in scattered homesteads and have carved a prosperous existence out of the rock that has lasted for thousands of years. It is rare to find a svirfneblin caught off-guard, but it can happen. Recently, a svirfneblin sorcerer and his alchemist apprentice set out to harvest the glands of the giant fire beetle. Though the deep gnomes possess highly-adapted darkvision and have little need for the glands' illuminating properties, they are also often used as spell components in the school of evocation. Unfortunately for the gnomes, they have stumbled upon the burrow of an angry fire beetle matriarch, which threatens to burn them to a crisp. Will the adventurers help?
