Update on Being Overpowered in Akame ga Kill

Hey everyone, how's it going? Just dropping by with an update on the translation of Being Overpowered in Akame ga Kill. We’ve reached 150 chapters, and with the Akame ga Kill arc now finished, I’ve decided not to continue this novel.

Yeah... I know. But hear me out — there are a few reasons behind this decision:

1. I think I rushed into choosing this novel just because it had something related to Akame ga Kill. It really didn't matched my personal tastes, but I only realized that halfway through. And for me, truly connecting with the story I’m translating is important.

2. The novel has now moved into a multiverse arc, and it includes some anime universes I’m not familiar with. That affects translation quality, since I always aim to get all the terms and references from each universe right.

3. It’s also a pretty long fic, and I don’t think it’s worth the amount of time and energy it would take. I’ve been trying to focus on translating more popular novels that both fit my taste and don’t already have active translations.

4. I really don’t like dropping any project, but in this case, I think it’s the smarter move. Still, I understand it can be frustrating for those who were really enjoying this novel and want to see it through. That’s why I’ll be taking some steps to help make it easier for someone else to pick it up — for example, I’ll publicly allow any future translator to repost all the Patreon chapters I’ve already translated on their own Patreon or other platforms, so they don’t have to start from scratch.

That’s basically it. I don’t like dropping series, but this was a personal mistake — I rushed the decision without properly evaluating things.
