1) Update?
There is no update yet! I apologize. Saving the game is not implemented. A lot of art is missing. I just did a few doors yesterday, and they are necessary to make paths cross in this 2D game.

Getting an update out this month was important to me, but sometime yesterday morning I despaired of making a release that wasn't crap. I must push it out into October.
There are two new sections on the editor. One is an important area in the catacombs, the other is the trip down the dungeons. I need art for the first part, so the dungeon will be the focus of the next version. I need art for that too, but it's not a show stopper.
The way down through the dungeons and mines has but one cut scene, and a few little ones on the way back, not counting dialogs. It's long, and it intended to create a sense of space and time, but it's not to be a grind.
2) When?
The update is pushed out for a few weeks. Maybe less! Then I must get back to the porting issues.
3) The beta that wasn't.
I am a coder. I'm not an artist, though all the clip art work is mine. I don't have a fan base, and I could not find people for a beta test. The solution: test it as best I can on my 3 computers, genuflect, and go public. It seems Jesus does *not* love me, as Catalina / Big Sur (70% of the mac market) have been a tremendous donkey dick up my butt as has been SDL's many temperamental issues under windows. (SDL is my program's front end.) I had to buy a new mac to get Catalina. GOD things used to be so much easier.
As for windows, I'm on my third consultant now. I will likely drop SDL and switch to SFML. If I'd known SDL's daddy, Sam Lantiga, is working for Steam these days, I would have used SFML from the beginning.
4) Trivia!
If you're curious, at it stands, Pervy is a little over 75,000 lines long, across more-of-less 70 files, not counting code that isn't mine.
About a quarter of it is the editor, that only I will ever see, which is probably for the best because it's held together with duct tape and witchcraft. The physics simulation was started with chipmunk, and changed over to box2d.
The story 'skeleton' is about 3k of text atm, which goes right to the end. It will get fleshed-in a bit, and undoubtedly tweaked, but the story is in place.
Though Pervy is an entirely gay game, it does not have a single entirely gay character in it. It has two lady characters, but no naughty scenes with them. There will be sex though, and I hope, an engaging story that is fun to read.
Thank you patrons for your support from the outset! I offer this glimpse into future updates: the three grim staves of Pervy's poem that appear when you are probably too busy to read them. It is not much of a spoiler.
