Weekly update

Happy Thursday!

Another week is flying by, and we are in May. I have just under two weeks left in Mexico; I will be sad to go, but it will also be good to be home for summer (let's hope the weather is warm and sunny 🀞).

As I've mentioned, prep will begin at the start of June. So we have the last couple of weeks of freedom before summer shredding starts. It has been a successful off-season, and obviously, weight is sitting higher than stage weight, but I have tried to make lean gains without putting on too much excess body fat. So when we shred, hopefully, it will be evident of improvements that have been made.

Traveling and having more freedom in the off-season is always good, but if you know me, you will know I also love strict routines and prep. So I feel blessed to be able to experience both: the challenges and tribulations they bring and embrace every aspect of the journey toward achieving my goals and dreams.

One of my most rewarding aspects is understanding my body better year after year and through each prep. For example, knowing how my body responds to certain foods, meal timings, training intensity + frequency, my hormones, and all aspects of my life is vital to performing optimally.

I love to be able to practice what I preach and be able to pass on what I learn to my clients (from first-hand experience).

I've always thought of my 20s as a decade of learning as much about myself as possible, pursuing my training goals, and getting to very high levels/of mastery(if possible). Then toward the end of my 20s(now)/30s+, to be able to help and reach as many people as possible with their fitness, positively impacting their lives and passing on the knowledge and experience I have gained to help them achieve the results they desire (obviously at the same time, continuing my ever ongoing journey of learning and application).

Ultimately, we are all here to help each other. But to be able to do this, we first need to help ourselves, and this step is often missed out (especially in the fitness industry). So we are here to improve ourselves, help others improve, and finally, help evolution as a whole rise.

Since becoming a personal trainer in 2016, I have always counted my blessings and have felt very privileged to be in a position to help others with their fitness journey and transform their lives. I often reminisce about the days I PTed and taught classes (especially spin classes, my absolute favourite) from 6 am- 10 pm, and it is only a matter of time before I return to doing this. The fitness industry is where my heart and passion lie, and there is not a day that goes by I am not grateful to have found my passion.

Sending all my love ❀️ R xx
