"On-Cycle Kara" is easy to spot. She's a little bigger, even in the face, from holding water/glycogen, and a little softer everywhere. She's normal instead of a depressive psychotic, and you'll catch her just smiling for no reason at times. Her hair's still got the brown streaks, but it's deliberate (but her bleaching is lighter since she's got the patience to do it better).

Kara's in a better place on gear and she knows it. Downside is that she's absolutely terrible at not using because of this. Instead of coming off for months at a time to recover, she tends to barely make it a few weeks before she can't handle her mental issues and gets back on, and she tends to use too much because she correlates her usage with happiness and a better life...hence the intense size, bulked-up face, and blown-out voice.

Unlike Carmen, Kara doesn't have any special tolerances. She's gifted at building mass for sure, but besides the mental benefits, she's still got to deal with the internal health issues. Liver, blood pressure, cholesterol, virilization...but you couldn't convince her not to play with fire.

"It's either I do it now, or the steroids do the job later. I'd rather shake the reaper's hand later with a smile on my face, even if it's still early."
