Not an April Fool's Joke

Hello, hermit here.

Yes, I just got finished posting the 24 chapters I've owed. Honestly, the inconsistency has become a huge problem. For me it's mostly a combination of bad luck, stress and anxiety that keeps causing issues.

I ruined my hand in February, which meant I couldn't write for a while. When that wasn't an issue anymore, I somehow got terrified of my patreon etc. The thought of people paying me for chapters I hadn't released and letting you down as a result felt really bad, so I avoided even thinking about it for a while. Shit, I know, but what can I do? Just the workload of uploading all these chapters and answering all the comments felt stressful, let alone writing everything.

Well, with some help of quarantine, I finally got some things done and forced myself to do the first part, the most important one. All scheduled chapters have been written and are up on this patreon since yesterday/today.

There's more stuff to come though. I've been working on another novel for a while, and I'll be uploading the first ten or so chapters to patreon tomorrow-ish. Everything's basically done, I just need to figure out what to name every character (it's complicated, and with the chapters I might post a poll concerning this). After the first ten chapters, I might be uploading a chapter a day for a while, since I have rough drafts for a good bit more of the new novel done.

I've also been busy with the reworked, remastered, rewritten, reimagined version of Book 1 of Enlightened Empire, which might get done one day if we all wish for it hard enough. That part has been a lot tougher than I thought. Progress is slow, but steady. 

Tomorrow, I'll spend my free time answering the comments on here, and I'll also need to update my novel on all the webnovel sites I've been neglecting (though I may skip answering the comments there, since that amount already feels overwhelming).

To avoid pointless anxiety like this in the future, I plan to write a short update post like this one once a week, even if I fail to upload anything, just to tell you what I'm working on (or not) and what releases you can expect in a timely manner. I know my communication in recent months has been crap, and I hope I can rectify that problem with these update releases.

Thank you for being patient with me through the past few months, let's get this thing back on track! Whether you're still in freedom or locked in your house, I hope my writing will be somewhat of a distraction in times when we are all looking for something to take our mind off global news.
