足元のアスファルトが冷え、アリシアは思わず裾を握りしめた。

気づけば、見知らぬ夜の街──行き交う車の光が、彼女の異質な姿をさらす。

背後で、低く笑う声がした。

「そんな格好で、こんな場所に迷い込んだのか。

……助けが来ると思ってる？」

振り向くと、路地の暗がりから数人の影がゆっくり近づいてくる。

人の気配は多いのに、誰も彼女を見ない。

この世界のルールだけが、ひどく冷たく突き放していた。

息を呑んだ瞬間、影のひとりが手を伸ばした。

「逃げられないよ。ここじゃ、あんたは目立ちすぎる」

夜風が、彼女の装いを揺らす。

——この世界に味方は、まだ誰もいない。

③【妊婦】「鍵のない夜…」

旅の途中でようやく辿り着いた宿屋の一室。

アリシアは疲れ切った身体を落ち着かせるため、浅く息を整えていた。

しかし、扉の前に立つ気配が消えない。

宿の主人とは違う、荒んだ息遣いがすぐそこにある。

「……遅くまでお疲れのようだな。中に、入ってもいいか？」

低い声が扉越しに響いた瞬間、

アリシアの背筋を冷たい予感が撫でた。

鍵は――かかっていない──
