2023-10-18 22:02:21 +0000 UTC1. This show wasn't on my radar before, but I'm glad I get to watch you do a reaction on it. 2. Reg. the end, I think what's going on is: When they kidnapped the big corpo guy, and Lucy hacked him, she found among the data (which was mostly data on people) an entry of David. She scrapped it. When they gave the data to their employer, he obviously figured that some data had been corrupted (they confirm this in this episode previous-to-last scene). They are trying to retrieve the corrupted (David's) data entry. She seems to be able to track them, and she gets rid of them in order to (I assume) protect him.

2023-10-18 19:25:18 +0000 UTCI'm interested in how being a netrunner affects your morality. It's basically the ultimate form of remote death. A preem netrunner can just sit back in their chair completely safe and short circ people from a distance. Really if you master the skill, it's the highest form of power you can have almost. Like Bartmoss wiped out 78% of the entire internet. He changed things so much so that in 2077 they don't have global internet in the same way we do. It's like city wide networks and such that aren't usually all connected to each other. Imagine the kind of damage someone like Lucy could cause if she went off the deep end. It's a very different kind of power than the physical strength and speed that David has.

2023-10-18 16:57:58 +0000 UTCI mean, regardless of whatever lessons he could be learning or how he could grow from the experiences he’s faced with the crew, he’s still a teenager with literally no one on the planet left that’s close to him other than his gang. No matter what shortcomings or flaws or mistakes any of them make, he’s going to consider them family and be there for them regardless, because he has nothing and no one else to fall back to. It’s not that he’s stupid or incapable of learning or anything like that. Its that, he understands the risks and cons that come with this life, but they’re worth it for him to have a crew close enough to consider a loose family. The risks are more acceptable to him than being all alone or having to lose them all like he lost his Mom.
